LAUDER MODELS YESTERDAY

Whoa, way too much makeup. The eye makeup and blush is over hte top. They applied several layers of foundation to achieve that heavy, cakey look.

This foundation is a first choice for clients. One application with a damp sponge is sufficient. Then concealer in spots that need extra coverage...not another all over layer of foundation...way too much!

Some people like over the top and that is okay. Everyone is not required to go light on makeup. I like a variety of looks. I am glad everyone does not wear the same look.

Earlier this year I was looking for new makeup. I stopped by an Ester Lauder counter and the girl put on so much foundation it just settled in every crack and crevice. Looked terrible and I knew it. So heavy and gloppy. All the while she was trying to tell me how wonderful I looked with makeup put on with a trowel. Didn't buy.

Heavy cakey look...........didn't watch that product but.....that's what I see for IT CC liquid foundation. I bought it once - heavy thick - gave it a toss in the trash.

I didn't care at all for that foundation look on anyone! But then I thought it was meant to be bullet-proof, i.e., double wear.

My GF wears EL, and every time we greet each other, her makeup is greasy feeling.

But that lipstick!! Very nice shade! If they offer any discounts on their website, I just may go ahead and get that one.

@Meowingkitty I agree the counter artists sometimes go overboard. I always ask for them to let me try application myself so I can put on the amount (foundation, eye makeup, lip colors) I would normally wear. They usually don't mind. I f they hesitate, I just ask for samples of foundation and put it on at home.
