Peter Roth Retinol Fusion

Can you let me know if this is a good retinol product ? I mainly Isomers products but the PR looks like it may be a good addition to my current routine and a good value. Beside wrinkles, does it help with fading spots and skin elasticisity ?

I can't help you with that product, but I bought the creme with the retinol fusion in it when it was a big deal a few weeks ago, so I just started using it. I have always heard great things about his products, and the creme is exceptional. It is one of the most nicest creams I have used.

I've been using this product for months and I can see results. I am 71 and I have no forehead wrinkles and I have been told I don't look my age. I also use microdelivery face wash twice daily and Dr. Denese glycolic peel pads so it may be a combination of products and I use hope in a jar moisterizer am and pm

scrub and tatcha eye cream.

I have DD firming pads ~ I was taking a break from them for the summer ~ do you use the PR every night ?

FABULOUS PRODUCT. I'm on two ADs. Use on my face at night mostly before my moisturizer but sometimes alone. I also use on my body, which has completely changed the texture of my skin. It's now super soft. Even my husband has commented.
I've used since PTR first appeared on QVC. I always keep several bottles in reserve.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Call me in the minority but I faithfully used a whole bottle of it, and his cream on top, did absolutely nothing. The potency is 1.5% , I have used others at 2.5 % and had better results.

He uses encapsulated retinol which is a good thing. But I don't understand why he puts his stuff inside blue-tinted containers. Blue containers do not protect ingredients from UV light. Retinol is destroyed by light and within about a month it's efficacy is almost none.

ETA - I would wrap my blue-tinted bottles with aluminum foil to protect the ingredients inside.

I buy clean products at affordable prices. You do not need to $pend the overpriced amount for PTR products which are also full of chemicals.

I am lucky I have only a very small area of discoloration on my face. My routine for almost a year is in the AM I cleans my face then a Clean C serum w hyaloronic acid followed by Argon oil. Not Josie's. PM I cleans, use a 2.5% retinol serum followed by Argon oil. I have no pores and the discolored area is almost gone.

If you're looking for a highly effective retinol product I would look at Paula's Choice 1% Retinol Treatment. It comes in an airtight, light-protective container which helps the active retinol stay good until the last drop. It's $58.

I used PC as my very first retinol product then transitioned to using Rx Retin-A after that. Just for comparison, highly effective 1% retinol is almost like, but not equivalent to, using about 0.25% Rx Retin-A. So if you're thinking about transitioning to a Rx retinoid then that Paula's Choice would be a good place to start with using a retinoid product.

@SilleeMee Have you tried the 0.3% Retinol + 2% Bakuchiol Treatment Serum from PC? i have been thinking about trying this on to get rid of some uneven skin on the far sides of my face.

Consult Beaute Regenerol Concentrate on SHQ is 3%, also encapsulated, so it is gentle to the skin. I m going ot try it and I bought a Bakuchiol serum from Instanatural.

I use the 0.3% Retinol + 2% Bakuchiol Treatment Serum. I can't say that it does anything noticeably different (I'm only on my first bottle) than the 1% retinol, but I do like it. The Bakuchiol is supposed to "amp up" the retinol, so I'll keep using it.

@SurferWife for over 3 years now I keep trying diff. things, even a few home peels and nothing seems to "fix" the uneven skin (blotch) from sun damage on the far back parts of my cheeks, side of face, I have done the Isomers vit C and the Retiniacian, PTR, the Caviar Peel, AHA, Glycolic and nothing seems to make this area look better, just don't have the time or money to go in for professionall. Was "thinking" about giveing the Bakuchiol a try since I have seen good reviews for this ingredient.

Have you tried using a spot treatment with hydroquinone for your dark spots?

This one is a good one to try. It's $12 on Amazon. Follow the directions for use. This, and most any other HQ product, has a set length of time to use it then you stop.

@SilleeMee I have never tried HQ, I will take a look at this, thank you for the suggestion.

You're welcome and just so you know, HQ is the gold standard when it comes to lightening treatment products.
