Why don't they do a mascara demo on someone that has short/normal lashes instead of a model who has "lashes out to there?"

@tansy - True. And I did look at this since I wanted to try this. But Shawn was remiss in not coaxing the vendor to go through the entire shade chart at least once. They didn't talk about the first lightest colors, which is where I fall, at all- either for the concealer or the foundation.

I enjoyed Rose-Marie's tips too. But they should not have left out advice on shade selection!

I guessed. I have never sent makeup back, but if this doesn't work I will!

I bought the set of 3 lip glosses and the mascara. I thought the vendor was lovely, drew me in, and I appreciated her tips. Poor thing said she was a little nervous since it was her first time presenting. I like Shawn, but I think she could have done a better job. I think she may have thought that by asking a lot of questions she was helping, but she interrupted the replies too many times. That was not helpful.
I agree with the comment about using a model with average lashes, not super long ones.
Enjoy if you purchased.

I had never heard of this person before, but it was nice to see a very mature woman presenting who was calm, and soft spoken. She is 66, so I felt her tips applied to my age group too.

Totally enjoyed the entire show even though I wasn't buying.

I thought Shawn did a great job asking questions I would have wanted to ask.

I learned a lot and got ideas about a few things I might have been doing wrong from the vendor. Both ladies were delightful.

I liked that she said concealer under the eyes should not be lighter than your foundation, I had always wondered about that. Her products are Clean Beauty.

@beach-mom More time should have been spent on shades of foundation. It was a very rushed show and sometimes quite confusing w/ Shawn asking so many questions, but also ones pertaining to herself.

She is very informative. I like her.

I did not buy anything myself, (was tempted by those lip colors though).

I will keep an eye out for future scheduled RMS Beauty shows.

@Shelbelle I don't use a concealer under the eyes the same shade as foundation. It does nothing to brighten the center of the face. She also said something about not using the concealer all the way across under the eye, just inner eye and on a bit of darkness. Nope, I like concealer under the eye and to the outer corner. That spot on the outer corner sometimes gets red and adding concealer there brightens the area/makes you look less tired. Blending the concealer down into the foundation is important to have a seamless look.

All MUA have their own techniques.

@beach-mom ... I did enjoy the show. But I would have liked if they had given a better description of the shades of the concealer and the foundation. I didn't find the descriptions on the RMS website too helpful.

@rms1954 She prefer a bit of youthful glow to the skin, but realizes those with more oily skin, may need a bit a powder. On the show, she stressed just to lightly put powder on the t zone, but leave the cheek area moist and dewey looking. She feels that's a more natural look. I feel the same.
