IT Cosmetics Powder Foundations

For those of you who wear IT Cosmetics powder foundation, which one do you wear & why do you prefer it over others?

@SurferWife - This is one of my many - LOL!

I tried the original when Jamie first came to QVC. I wasn't sure about shades, so I ordered the first three lightest, thinking I would share the ones that didn't work for DD and me with a friend.

DD has a cool complexion and is "Nicole Kidman" fair. She usually wears the lightest shade in any brand. I am warm and light. I usually wear the second shade down in any line.

In the original Celebration foundation, the Fair was too light for DD, and the Light was too light for me. We each went down a level and it worked! So for one of the only times in my life, I wear Medium in this!

Eventually, IT came out with Celebration Illumination. I ordered Medium and it was too dark. I exchanged for the Light and it was perfect! Go figure! Later on I was "talking" to Jacque on QVC's blog page during a TSV day. I discovered we have similar skin coloring and if a foundation color works for her it will probably work for me.

A lot of people don't like the Celebration Illumination. This is my favorite IT powder foundation. It doesn't make me look sparkly or anything like that, and I like the way my skin looks compared to the regular.

I didn't mean to write a "book" but I wanted you to know how I decided on Illumination!

@SurferWife I have worn the Illumination foundation for years. It is full coverage with some depth, not sparkle. I am the lightest shade.

One time I ordered the illumination one by mistake but when it got here decided to give it a try and used it for awhile. It sparkled on me but I didn't know it until one day I saw myself in my car's rear view mirror. Must have been I caught myself at the right time of day when the light was just so. I felt like Suzie Sparkle. Quickly ordered my usual original in the black compact.

For a very long time, well over a year, I continued to wear that original in the black compact because I really liked it. Then on a whim in Ulta one day picked up some Bare Essentials and experimented using half IT on one side of my face then the BE on the other. Only then did I realize how yellowish the IT was on me. I would have continued with the IT if I had known which shade was going to work without the yellow but didn't want to have to keep returning until I hit it right so have been using the BE since then. Guess I was lucky and chose the right shade of BE out of the gate. Bottom line, I really liked the IT.

@SurferWife I use the Airbrush Perfecting Powder in tan. It is medium coverage with SPF 50. There is no sparkle. I use bisque for extra cover up coverage. They work well together. I have given up on liquid foundations. They are too much trouble and this is easy, looks natural. HTH

Thank you all for your responses! I am currently using the original Celebration Foundation & like it, but I'm curious to know how it compares to the CC Powder foundation. I guess I could buy it & try it. I like the Celebration Foundation so I would probably like the CC Powder foundation, too.
