My review of Pantene co-wash

Based on a few threads, I tried the Pantene co-wash. I found it at Target in the ethnic hair section, under $5 for, I think, 24 ounces.

My typical WEN routine includes two washes - one SAM, one FIG, followed by a pump of 613 as a leave in, and either FIG, SAM, or 613 styling cream. I usually add a half dropper of oil to my hair before drying. Clearly, my hair is dry. I wash daily. Sometimes my hair gets overwhelmed with the FIG, so I switch over to a seasonal, POM, LAV, or two washes of SAM.

I did the exact same routine, except that I substituted the two washes with one wash of Pantene. The instructions suggest a palm sized amount. I left it in my hair throughout my shower.

Verdict? It smells exactly like Pantene. Much less slip while using...I felt like I was dragging it through my hair, and I definitely used enough. It rinsed easily, again with not as much slip as I'd like. I expected my hair to dry into a rat's nest. However, my hair dried nicely with a diffuser. I feel my results were similar to what I get from POM, Spring Gardenia, or maybe LAV...none of which I use more than one day here and there. I think it will be good to use when my hair feels a bit over conditioned, or on a day that I'm just hanging out at home.

I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who is a 100% FIG girl, but it might be a good solution for others.
