Favorite brush for applying blush?

My old blush brush finally needs to be replaced (for some reason our son’s dog found it irresistible). It came with a Laura Geller set I purchased years ago when she came to the Q. It was great quality, but of course it is no longer made.

Can anyone recommed a really good one?

I have a Bobbi Brown blush brush that works well. Previously, I purchased an inexpensive Elf blush brush which seemed to disintegrate in a month. I guess like everything you get what you pay for...

The Fan brush by Eve Pearl. On one end it is the fan brush and the other a small oval brush. Love it! $27.50 Washes beautifully.

I've always gone back to my e.l.f. angled blush brush. I have others but that one always works the best for me. Although it's an inexpensive brush, it has tons of top-rated reviews wherever it is sold.

ETA -

Another brush I have is Real Techniques Blush Brush. It's super soft so it won't pick up too much at once. Perfect for highly-pigmented blushes or when you need just a tad of color.

Mine is a really old heavier version of a paint brush that I got from Smashbox years ago. I haven't used it in 8 months with all this mask wearing. I sure miss Smashbox on QVC. They had deals not available anywhere else now days, also some great TSV's.

Hi @Swedishmiss . For powder blushes, I use the Trish McEvoy #65 Angled Contour Brush. When using a cream blush (most often) it's the Bobbi Brown Full Coverage Face brush. Both are not inexpensive, but I've had them for over 10 years and wash them weekly. If you'd like to spend less, you can check the shape and description of both on the Nordstrom site and see what's available at the drugstore. ***I never try to save money on brushes. By the time you replace the more expensive ones several times, you could have purchased the good ones just once.

I have very fair skin so have to be extra careful when applying blush so that it's not too bright/dark. My favorite for powder is the Smashbox Buildable Cheek Brush. It doesn't pick up too much product at once so it really is buildable. It's not cheap, but sometimes Macy's has sales on a lot of Smashbox brushes.

For cream products, my favorite is the It Cosmetics Heavenly Lux Airbrush Blush. I'm not sure if that one is still available though. I got it a long time ago with another It product.

I'm still using Bare Minerals brushes. One for color, a separate one I use for "light."

Still use the BM brushes for eye liner/shadow and one I picked up at the art store.

The Brush Love It cleaner works well!

@Swedishmiss - I also use the Elf Angled Blush Brush. In this case, it didn't cost much at all, but the quality has been top notch.

I also use a blush brush from IT Cosmetics. They're known for their top rated brushes.

Thank you for this post, my blush brush is in need of replacing.

It is really hard because so many brushes have declined in quality. I used to get so many fabulous brushes from IT cosmetics and B.E. and when I was out looking (pre COVID) I was disappointed in the quality.

My favorite blush brush is the BK Beauty 107. It is very soft but picks up product well and has the right amount of density to blend well. I tried to attach a picture but can't get it to work but you can go to their website to check it out. bkbeauty dot com
