Good post, I am having the same issue at 70. Pencil not working well with my hand shaking! I recently bought a cheap powder to try that came with a brow brush, I have yet tontry it. My hair is white but the brows still brown with only one white hair! I really have been stopping at moisturizer and lip treatment due to sitting around the house and the little I go out, to pick up groceries I have the mask. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Will be interesting to see the recommendations.

Just ordered the Amazon Moonkong pen...should get it tomorrow! I ordered the brown~I'll let you know...we're about the same age..

I lost all my eyebrows and eyelashes when I had surgery in 1973. I've had sparse eyebrows since they grew back. I have a few eyelashes. I use an eyebrow pen of sorts....one that isn't smooth on the end. I can more easily make it look like brows instead of a painted on eyebrow. There are several OTC brands. I think the one I'm using now is Maybelline tattoo because it has a narrow stiff brush on the end. I think Loreal has one but haven't tried it yet.

At 76 I understand about how the brows change: I went from very thick and dark brows ( like my dad's ) to a thinner line with some sparse areas and a few white hairs .

I have tried quite a few " simple " approaches. Recently, I like the L'Oreal Brow Definer Stylist: a pencil that leaves a smooth soft color and to smooth things out a spool is on the other end.

Where I need more depth of color, like at the beginning which keeps disappearing ( ! ), I touch lightly with a brow marker pen from Stila.

If I get more white hairs, I may resort to a q-tip touched in my mascara !

For additional help, I use an extra high magnifying mirror. And when the hand gets shaky, I rest my elbow on the little makeup table and place the other hand on my wrist.

From a unibrow as a young teen to about 10 maybe 12 hairs left on each brow now as a senior I hear ya. I've been using an Anastasia Brow Wiz pencil for quite a few years but lately I find it doesn't seem to go on as smoothly as it used to. I get tiny little crumbles. Even if I use First Aid Beauty hydration cream on them first and let it absorb before applying pencil.

The white ones that crop up now and then I pluck right out.

Have to run to Walgreen's later so going to look for the pencil Jlkz mentions.

Hair on head thins, eyebrows thin but the stupid moustache & chin hairs never die.

My granddaughter recently had hers microbladed. They are perfection when it comes to the shape and look natural till you get up close, then you can tell they are not totally natural. Up close to me they look like she just did a good job of penciling. Maybe because they are done outside of her natural brow line because she wanted them thicker looking. She does love not having to do anything to them every morning, no fiddling with a pencil anymore.

I was using the e.l.f. brow pencil (taupe) for the longest time. That's a great pencil! But now I don't use that any more b/c my brows have become full again from using Careprost (same as Latisse). I buy it cheap from AllDayChemist, no Rx needed. ADC has a free shipping deal for 2 bottles of Careprost (2-month supply) for $25 if you want to try it.

ETA - It appears ADC has raised the price for their Careprost. So now it's $25 per bottle and the free shipping is available only in the 2-pack for $50 total. That is still not a bad price when you compare it with Latisse + a doctor's visit charge for the Rx.

Love allday chemist. I get my retin A from them. My girlfriend with thin brows got disgusted enough and just went for the microblading. She's very happy with the results.

I recently ran out of Andrew Lessman's Hair, skin and nails...will be getting more! There are many cheaper brands out there...I may try something new! I noticed my nails aren't as strong as they were either...the vitamins really do help!

Apply to eye brows? Mine are so few,might try.

I use a mascara type style from Cover Girl. Seems to work okay. I dab it off on a tisue before applying so there's not too much. I',ve also used Elf brand, which I guess, is a wax type with powder. Pencils don't stay on for me too well.

Microblading!!! I have told my story before......after chemo and radiation my brows just never grew back and after a few years of trying every pencil on the planet and just being mortified that I couldn't get them to look as I would have liked, I went for it. The BEST $$$ I have ever spent on myself.

That elf pencil is a tinted wax product and elf also makes another brow product where you apply a tinted wax then a tinted powder on top (comes together in a kit).

I have sparse brows too, and they are getting more white hairs in them. I dye them with the men's dye for mustache and beard. I use light brown and it works well. The darker hairs make it look like the brows are fuller.

I pencil in the tails if I am going somewhere but lately I don't even bother. I use the YBF pencil from HSN. It's my favorite.

@Neetgal2 Too much brow is my issue, but a few wirey grey ones peek through the dark brows, silver hair here, too. I dye them once a month with with JUST FOR MEN beard & mustache dye in a mix of lt. blonde and med. brown. Only stays on for 5 minutes and quite easy. For others, it also catches those little light hairs you didn't know existed.

Seems this is a old age thing problem,or just another problem,we tend to have.
