Out of 5,000 reviews this product received 4.5 and 5 star ratings for face and body skin. Gwyneth Paltrow loves this product. Sold at Target, Vitacost, Kohls, Amazon. Target had the best price. Evidentially, a "Light" version is also offered.

Amazon has this size for $14.66. Target has it for $18.99.

Thank you for the post. Me? I would probably leave out the part about Gwyneth because.......who cares? She is a mess with her disgusting candle and other items that reference lady parts.

Sorry - this is my first post that is negative but that woman makes me ill. That and Tom Ford with his rude perfume name.

We have gotten too desensitized to things.

I would be careful buying it at amazon. Sometimes there is a problem with beauty products.

Just wanted to add: I don't really trust Amazon's ratings. A few weeks go I purchased a cotton sheet set from Amazon's website, it was shipped from a third party.

A few days after I received my order, I got an email from the vendor telling me that if I submitted a review of the sheets, they would send me a "free set of pillowcases to match my sheet set." To my thinking, that is a bribe. So, how authentic are reviews? I doubt anyone would submit anything less than an excellent review in anticipation of receiving their "free gift."

BTW, I didn't send in a review because I didn't like being asked for one.

Has anyone else experienced something like this?

@mom2four0418 That's funny because when I looked this afternoon Target had it for $12 and change. I would not buy beauty products from Amazon.

I just checked and Target is selling for $12.49 so it is less than Amazon.

If I was going to try a product for the very first time then I would go to the product website, in this case Weleda dot com, and buy it directly from them. That way there's no question as to it's authenticity. I can make my judgements based on that and not on something which might be bogus. Many times a company will offer good deals for first-time buyers so that's something to think about, too.

I read something similar. I was reading the Amazon reviews for a grow light and one of the reviewers said how disappointed she was with the product, and that it probably had such high ratings because the seller offered gift cards for reviews. That's the first time I had heard of this. I didn't buy that light.

I really like and trust the Weleda line. High quality ingredients and effective results.
as others have said I would never buy it from Amazon though.

I've used Weleda Skin Food (original cream) for years. My dry skin loves it!
