Foundation trick I discovered by accident

Yesterday morning, before walking the dog, I applied my usual face sunscreen and Laura Geller Balance -N- Brighten. Afterwards, I was in a hurry to get out of the house, so I spot-applied my It Cosmetics CC+ Full-Coverage Cream over the powder foundation. I could not believe the coverage/flawless finish that this combo created! At the end of the day, my sunspots were still perfectly covered up.

This is my new trick for full-coverage foundation!

Wayne Goss did a video a couple of years ago where he put a powder down first and applied foundation over it. It gave a beautiful flawless coverage. I'm pretty sure I tried it at the time but for some reason didn't continue to do it. I definitely need all the coverage I can get so I think I'll try this again. Thanks for the tip!

If you use an illuminating powder under foundation that gives a good backlight and makes your foundation look even better.

Wouldn't the application of the foundation over the powder rub off the powder? It sounds like you had a great coverage but I would probably mess it up!

@SilleeMee I sometimes use a primer w/ illumination (Laura Mercier Radiance Primer). I'd think powder under foundation and then concealer would have a tendacy to cake or accentuate lines and wrinkles. Just say'in. I've never tried that technique.
