and not like a sasquatch. I haven't been to my hairdresser since early March. I have been dying my roots but not doing much else to my hair. All summer I have worn it piled up on my head in a messy bun. Next week I will be going back into my school to do evaluations on special education students so I decided to have my hair cut and colored. I got my roots done, highlights and she cut about two inches off the length. I am so glad I did as I look 100% better. My hairdresser works out of her basement so I was the only client she had and we both wore masks for the entire appointment.

@ninjawife It's amazing what a good haircut can do for one's outlook. I was thrilled to finally get to my salon so I totally get it.

Mercy I bet you feel like a new woman. I am having my third visit with my hairdresser this Sat. since the shutdown during the spring. I had just had mine done so I was only a couple of weeks over due when my hairdresser was back in business in May. I know you are happy to feel the way you feel, lovely!

@ninjawife Sometimes posters ask if beauty products or devices work. The one expense I know works for me over and over again is what I pay every few weeks to have color, cut, and styling done professionally.

With apology to Susan Graver, I call what you did "money well spent." I know having my hair professionally cared for means I need less new wardrobe, fewer anti-aging creams, and, for me, it even works as my mental therapy!

Glad you feel so good about yourself and now can turn your efforts to helping kids you need you.

Tomorrow I'm getting my second haircut since the pandemic began. I'm determined to keep up with my "trim/maintenance" schedule for my pixie haircut just in case they shut the salons down again. Although there are multiple salons in the complex, my new stylist has his own glass-enclosed room, so he's the only person I encounter. They keep the front door locked so only those with appointments can enter. Of course, masks are required during the appointment.

Been watching the reruns...and was thinking ...SJP's children have to be in mid teens...I could not imagine my son dealing with me being in some of those scenes as his mother. The peer pressure and remarks....ugh...

I wonder if they have any regrets as to role choices.

I had such a hard time with not getting my hair done. I have awful hair and it needs color and a decent cut to look presentable.

I had it done in Feb. May 1 the owner of the salon I go to mixed me up a batch of color I could do at home (I'm a long time client).

The end of May I visited a hairstylist friend at her home and she cut my hair. We were careful.

Finally June 22 I was able to get color and the end of July I got highlights. Even my husband said "wow, what a difference".

I am 64 and I'm not going to let it go gray anytime soon. I just about bought a wig.

Thank goodness the salon opened again

**I can do my own nails, brows, etc. but man did I miss my stylist!

I think this is a QVC system glitch of some kind. If someone posted in the wrong thread, wouldn't it still have the correct thread title? (ie the title of the haircut thread). Very strange!
