Good morning. I have read sure great things about Beekman products. I was hoping I could please get some recommendations on where to start since the collection is so large. I am 63 years old with dry, very acne prone skin🙄🙄🙄. I’m looking for facial and hair products. I use a great body cream. Thank you for your help. Have a great day☺️

You may want to start with the triple milk bar for your face, I would recommend the pure shamppo and conditioner too.

For your hair try the natural goat milk shampoo and conditioner duo and to start for your face, go with the triple milk bar combo. They are great products

@Kymheart1 Hi. I haven't tried the skincare and will stay will stay with the products I've used forever. I can say that I now use almost everything else "goat"....shampoo/conditioner, soap, hand lotion, body body cream, soap pumpers at all sinks, lip balms, etc.

They're an A+ company with extraordinary products.

@Kymheart1 If I may suggest, start small and see how you like the products. I wanted to like them (mainly because I love the little goats), and went all out.

The soap dried my skin out something terrible after one bath, (it does lather up beautifully though) and the shampoo bar stripped my gray hair of every bit of natural oil. The body butter, (which I was sure I would love), was not as moisturing on my skin as I was hoping. It reminded me very much of the Ultra Repair body butter by First Aid Beauty but more moisturizing.

Not to disparage the Beekman products in any way, just a friendly suggestion if you aren't familiar with the products.

Well another opinion....I happen to love the body cream. Love the hand salve. and love the lip balm. I live in Phoenix. We have had the hottest summer EVER. Record number of days over 110. And less than and inch of rain all year. So I guess you could say it has been excessively hot and dry here. Their products have really helped my skin. I got rid of all of my Josie M.

@mistyada Unless everything Beekman is a sham, milking a goat is not cruel, but rather necessary whether you use that milk or not. No goats are hurt in the process unless they trip over one of the buckets.

This is why we need to be mindful of the information and advice posted on these forums.

Some posters claim to be experts, yet we have no way of independently confirming their claims and background. Would you knowingly take medical related advice from a doctor disqualified bc if malpractice? Or a chemist that was fired for performance issues? Sure they have knowledge, but...

Some posters are very EGO driven and get a thrill insulting posters for their personal choices. Unemployed sales clerks that are 'top' fashion stylists, MU 'artists' not employed, ingredients 'experts' that have obvious brand/vendor biases - be cautious!

Take the info with a grain of salt and watch for 'agendas', posts in other forums, puzzle pieces that provide a bigger picture - that indicates self interest vs wanting to help others

Since we are 'anonymous' posters with no way to verify skills, education, certifications, background, references of other posters, my approach is that we are all equals here to share and gather information.

My suspicions about a poster/source is raised when the poster repeatedly brags about being 'xyz' expert or that their opinion/advice is valid or more worthy over other posters bc of their supposed background/skills. That is pure ego driven participation!

@Chi-town girl I don't get P O'd often, but you inadvertently insulted me...advice from mu artists not employed? Uh, I stand behind my decades of experience that isn't forgotten because not practiced since March because of a pandemic.

Be sure you don't frequent fine restaurants when "this" is over. All the cordon bleu graduate chefs may have forgotten how to cook to your liking. Many professionals have temporarily been out of work. Does that mean their education and diplomas are worth nothing, too?

Blanket statements may not go over too well, so please be mindful of what you say here.

@Shanus ITA ! Just because people give advice (and that's all it is, do with it what you will) we are just sharing knowledge. I find it interesting and valuable to learn from others. Granted, we don't know who "really" knows what, but you can always research a particular topic to verify certain opinions. I highly doubt that most people just claim they have a degree, maybe a low percentage.......bored with their life.

@LindaSal I'm trusting to a fault. Unless proven otherwise, I assume, as well, someone would not post nefarious information. Anyone could fact check and call them on it. How embarrassing!

@Kymheart1 My extremely dry skin opinion:

I find that specific soaps leave my skin soft and hydrated while others dry them out. This may due to the oils/scents used in some as well as some of the soaps are made for super hyderation. My family uses:

Original/Unscented

Orange Blossom and Honey

After the Sun (original not the one with Lavender).

Other scents are wonderful but do dry out our skin so I use these (cut in half if large bar/whole if a small bar) to scent closets, drawers, even in our cars (throw one under the seat, lol).

I found the hand lotion/cream did NOTHING for my hands. The body butter/creams were ok. Won't buy either again. My MIL loves the shampoo and conditioner but she has very short, very fine hair; it was not a good choice for my long, thick, coarse hair. I love the skin care I'm using so I haven't tried theirs.

If you can't purchase a sample set, do so be it skin or soap and body products. They have a much larger selection on their website and offer coupons if you sign up (I did). Hope that helps a bit.
