I feel the demonstration is misleading. Only alcohol or bleach kill Covid-19. This product only kills bacterial and contains neither product which kill virus.

They are selling them so quickly because people are being mislead by David and the guy selling the product.

Please be aware, that this sanitizer will not kill Covid.

I didn't see the presentation, but you're correct. Only alcohol-based sanitizers, minimum 60% alcohol, will be effective against COVID-19. Perhaps you should bring it to the attention of the moderators, so they can tell the hosts.

@Venezia Thanks for mentioning the alcohol content - I checked mine and it's 62%. There's a statement on the bottle: "Helps reduce bacteria on the skin that could cause diseases."

Viruses are killed by soap and water on your hands. Other methods kill bacteria. Ask a scientist to verify. Of course, if you don’t have access to soap and water, a typical hand sanitizer is certainly better than nothing.

I could be wrong but I thought they said several times there was no alcohol in it. I didn't see the whole presentation as I was doing other things but I thought I heard them say that several times. Correct me if I am wrong, for that reason along with others I wasn't going to purchase it.

I ordered santizer from the info I posted recently in wellness. Got free shipping and ordered 4 bottles. They sold out of their 4 oz and went to a 4 oz. It is 80 %!

I don't know what scientists you are referring to. Everything I've read, including from the CDC, states that alcohol in high percentages does kill viruses, including covid 19.

Practicing hand hygiene, which includes the use of alcohol-based hand rub (ABHR) or handwashing, is a simple yet effective way to prevent the spread of pathogens and infections in healthcare settings. The exact contribution of hand hygiene to the reduction of direct and indirect spread of coronaviruses between people is currently unknown. However, hand washing mechanically removes pathogens, and laboratory data demonstrate that ABHR formulations containing 80% ethanol or 75% isopropanol, both of which are in the range of alcohol concentrations recommended by CDC, inactivate SARS-CoV-2.
ABHR effectively reduces the number of pathogens that may be present on the hands of healthcare providers after brief interactions with patients or the care environment.

Hygiene Methods

CDC recommends using ABHR with greater than 60% ethanol or 70% isopropanol in healthcare settings. Unless hands are visibly soiled, an alcohol-based hand rub is preferred over soap and water in most clinical situations due to evidence of better compliance compared to soap and water. Hand rubs are generally less irritating to hands and are effective in the absence of a sink.

@Ceci You can make your own with 60% Isopropl alcohol and other ingredients. However, years ago when hand sanitizer came out it was on the news that if you use it constantly it will not kill germs. You really don't know what to believe.

I remember that. I have never been a hand sanitizer person, just washing, but now keep it around the house. I have seen it at Target the last few times I've been there.
