It's been my experience having had cuts of various lengths, really short like a pixie is easy...just frequent cuts, this type of cut requires daily styling and lots of product which personally I don't like. Longer hair is more versatile and needs less frequent cutting.

Some haircuts I have found lose their shape quickly if the hairdresser is not too skilled with the scissors.

As far as the model's hair texture, she may have very fine hair but if she lightens her hair it swells the hairshaft and it gives incredible amounts of body. Without haircolor, this hairstyle may adhere to the head if someone has fine, wispy hair...even if they have a lot of hair.

When you see celebs in magazines, you have to realize their hair was professionally done, more than likely not by them. You may never be able to get the same look yourself ( chances are doing their own hair, they'll never get the same look either).

i had this cut and my hair is thick, wavy and frizz-prone. it looked great at the salon. i could never get mine to look like i walked out of the salon as my stylist did it. humidity made it really poofy. i had it cut in the summer.

with thick wavy hair you need to be willing to blow dry and style with a round brush, pretty much daily. and use really good product to help straighten. it is a good cut for naturally straight hair.

hair pictured has been double processed or they used a hi-lift permanent color. so it is very thick from color..

@lolakimono My 15 year old granddaughter wears a version of this style. She had me cut her long hair off about a year ago.

This style is a natural for her hair. Her hair is very thick and full of body. It always has bounce, it is straight, but has texture and is never flat to her head. She doesn't do much to keep it looking nice. She just blows it dry.

I also wear a version of this style. My hair is straight as a stick, oily and gets stringy. I have to wash it every day. I blow my hair dry upside down to get fullness and lift and touch it up with a cyurling iron just in the front to keep it from hanging in my eyes. my hair tends to go flat.

The style looks good on me, but I don't have the prefect hair to carry it off like my granddaughter.

I would say, if you have course, thick, curly hair that gets frizzy, this would be a difficult style to maintain.

IMO, it is not worth it to fight your hair. If you have straight hair, find a straight style, if your hair is curly or wavy, find a style that works with your hair type.

I don't like being a slave to my hair. Some people don't mind.

You can wear a curly version of this style too.
