MICROFIBER WASHCLOTHS

Besides using them to wash your face, I keep a dry one on my lap during makeup application to wipe my brushes on. Quick step to a clean brush until wash day.

Yes! I use a mf cloth with a little bit of micellar water on it to wipe my brushes...just a quickie clean until wash day.

I use microfiber was cloths to remove maekeup and wash my face. I love them. They don't drip and wring out easily.

I use a clean one every night then let dry and toss in the hamper for washing. I use cleanser with my microfiber cloth. The microfiber is so much softer than a regular wash cloth.

I love them for soooo many things - primarily because they really remove makeup with water only and my pups love them, too.

I'm probably in the minority here but I can't stand them. The feel of them bugs me.

Great helpful hints. Thanks everyone. Here’s mine.....Costco has a big bag of yellow ones. Super inexpensive. Yes they sell them for your cars but they work really good for beauty. Try them! In my opinion they are just the same as the beauty ones.

I don't use for my face ,only cleaning around the house.and car, but there is a difference in quality.

I have a three face wash process at night.

Step 1 I utilize a Goat Milk Wipe.

Step 2 I use my Purity Made Simple face wash.

Step 3 Lastly, I utilize my Micro Fiber Washcloths that are made for the face.

Always have them around for dusting, cleaning mirrors and screens, but never considered them on my face. Learn a lot here. Might get up my courage and try tonight.

The microfiber cloths I use for my face are much thicker, fluffier, and softer than the ones I use for cleaning.

@MoJoV - I feel the same way. I can't stand the feel of microfiber. I had some of those twister towels for your hair in microfiber and I couldn't use them. Had to get the 100% cotton ones instead.

NOT A FAN ... I find it more of a pain to rinse them and let them dry. I use the Kirkland Costco clothes to remove all of my make up and then use a good cleanser or exfoliator. That is fast and easy and I have no dirty cloth that I have to rinse and dry... even if it's going into laundry to be washed, I'm not putting it in wet. Not for me, and I tried several times.

I know this might sound dumb, but are the microfiber cloths you use for washing your face different than the ones commonly used for cleaning and dusting? Also, do you use these alone with just waster or do you use with your cleanser? Thanks!

@AngelPuppy1 I purchase the microfiber face cloths from Q when at a special price. I don't use them to wash my face, just use them dry to wipe off the extra makeup from brushes during makeup application.

AngelPuppy: the microfiber cloths I use on my face are thicker, softer, and fluffier than the ones I use for cleaning. I get them all on Amazon from different vendors (there are many choices). Each cloth is the size of a standard wash cloth.

For removing makeup I do use a cleanser with a dampened microfiber cloth.

The only time I use the cloth dry is when applying makeup if I need to 'erase' a mistake or tone down too much blush or remove eye shadow dust.

And the microfiber cloths go in the laundry hamper after each use. They are easy to keep clean and it's better for your face not to re-use tools that have make-up or dirt residue.

There is a HUGE difference between microfiber for cleaning and microfiber for your face! Make sure you use the right ones for the right job.

I’ve used standard microfiber washcloths for years.

Amazon sells big bags of various colored cloths for very cheap.

Its all about the PRESSURE you apply when washing your face,

For example, if I’m cleaning off CC cream/setting powder, I wet the cloth w warm water, squeeze it out, then add a gel cleanser or a swipe of

a goat milk bar soap.

I wet my face and then with a bit of pressure I cleanse thoroughly

and rinse. There’s a nice bit of lather during cleansing, plus exfoliation.

OTOH, if Ive just come back from a jog (no CC cream) and my face is

“glowing” ( lol) I may simply wet the cloth and cleanse with a bit more pressure.

The main thing is: don’t put these cloths in the dryer, especially with fabric softeners.

The fabric softener coats the microfiber and therefore creates no friction to exfoliate. Plus the water won’t absorb into the cloth.

(btw, I do not use fabric softener/dryer sheets anyway, for many reasons).

Except I put the sheets in my chest of drawers, or under my sofa cushions,

And I’ve read that mosquitoes hate them, so I tuck one in my sleeve in the summer!

Occasionally in the forced hot air heat in my house, I run a sheet over my hair to get rid of the static electricity “fly aways”!
