I have purchased small jars of moisturizers to try before splurging on full size product, but I don't do this routinely.

Personally, I would read reviews, get a sample at a store, if possible, or just try it in a store, I'd be more inclined to purchase the full bottle, give it a fair shake, and return if necessary. $16 (plus shipping. Is too steep a price for a small sample.

i just take the plunge usually.

if it doesnt work for me after a while i just stop using it.

many times i pass it along to my daughters or my mother to try so that it doesnt get wasted. other times, i repurpose the product if i can. for example, if i dont like a face cream, i can use the cream on my feet for moisture.

It would depend on what I'm trying out for the first time. If it's something I need to use for many days, or even weeks, before I can see that it works for me then I'll buy a full size and return the rest if I don't care for it. In other words some things take time to see results while other things you know right of the bat whether or not you want to keep using it so buying a full size can save a trip back to the store.

I never had any real results with neck creams, I've tried every one the Q has to offer. What I have found actually works for my almost 70 year old neck isFace Up Double S Essence from HSN. The product isn't even a neck cream, it's a serum type product you put on your face and neck before you apply anything else. I find this product is all I need and it isn't expensive.I have been using this product for over a month and it really has lifted my whole face, my neck looks like 45 or 50 again. I saw results right away too. I never buy samples and I do return beauty products to the Q frequently.

I find samples useless since there is not really enough to find out if the product works. I have noticed that most reviews that say a product doesn't work are posted after using it only a few times and not enough time to really know. I just buy the full size and if it doesn't work as good as I want don't buy it again.

I'd purchase the full size. If you don't like it, 30 days to return it. Asking them to pay for a sample, not a great idea. Nordstrom and other stores will give free samples in little jars, but with skincare, you need more than a few days to test anything other than adverse reactions which sometimes occur on first application.

I can say that 99.9% of all the products I use are due to a sample. Even mascara and lipsticks have been chosen due to a sample. I will not a product now without using a sample first. BTW, I don't purchase samples. The purpose of them is to sample a customer at no cost with the hope they will then come back and purchase the product. I have no problem asking for a sample of something but due to how I purchase skincare an cosmetics, samples are extremely easy to come by.

For me it depends on the price point of the brand and the ease of getting a sample. With Algenist I was afraid to take the plunge on their products. At Sephora I purchased a 4 pack of minis...which then led to a bigger purchase.

I would never buy samples. I rarely use the free samples that I receive because there isn't enough product to give it a fair trial. The only real use I have for them is if I'm taking a quick 1-2 night trip. A little foil packet of moisturizer is really easy to bring along.

I'm 60 and I'm going to check this out. I too have tried neck creams that didn't do anything and have seen articles that state if you have a good moisturizer you can use it on your neck and see results.

I found that wasn't exactly true at leaast for me. lol

I have tried everything for every issue from drug store to high end. I'm gettting to the point where I'm ready to say no more and save my money for something else.

I'm thinking exfoliate, use a good moisturizer and learn to accept the flaws and

mature gracefully.

Almost there but not quite yet.
