Goat Milk Soap On a Budget...Fantastic Soap

Hello,

I wanted to share my recent find. I purchased NATURE by CANUS Goat Milk Soap. The description states "Pure Vegetable Soap with Fresh Goats Milk" I paid $2.49 for a 5 ounce bar. I bought Fragrance Free since most scents bother me. I must say this is the best Goat Milk soap I've tried & I've tried many, including Beekman, which I had to returnd because it dried my skin out. The Nature by Canus soap has no scent, is very moisturing & leaves your skin feeling like silk. I use it as my facial cleanser. It removes all my makeup, including mascara. I've had no dry skin or breakouts. You can find it at health food stores & in the healthy beauty section in many grocery stores. For under $3.00 it's worth a try. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Hugs.

I live in the Chicagoland area. What part of the country do you live in. I don't think I have ever seen this. What grocery store do you get this at?

@Beeweaver, I'm in the Chicago area also, 20 minutes from Woodfield, near Bartlett, & Bloomingdale. The manufacturer is in Canada, they have a Canadian site & a U.S. site. I went to the U.S. site, I don't see any stores listed in the U.S. that sell the products, which leads me to believe that they're available online only in the U.S.

@lindseyemmie Per your recommendation, I just ordered it from Amazon. In winter, especially, I have dry skin and have been looking for a good soap to address the dry skin problem.

There are ingredients in there that are not good. At Goat Milk Stuff you get goat milk as the first ingredient. I learned about this brand right here and never looked back. Their ingredients: (and this is just an example of one of their soaps)

Almond Goat Milk Soap

Goat Milk Soap Ingredients: Raw goat milk; Saponified natural fats, coconut oil, sunflower oil; Almond essential oil; Cocoa powder.

As for the Canus brand?

Ingredients: Sodium Palmate, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Water, Glycerin, FRESH GOAT'S MILK/Caprae Lac, Palm Kernel Acid, Sodium Chloride, Potassium Sorbate, Tetrasodium EDTA, Tetrasolium Etidronate, Titanium Dioxide.

Some one mentioned a soap made in Georgia,at some point in the past, The honeysuckle soap company, look at the ingredients looks good to me.

I have tried that brand & did not care for it. I have also tried Beekman & have several of their bars. Since I have tried Goat Milk Stuff which I really like. I'm going to order from them again. It's a true family run business. I also have a store in town where I can buy local farmer made goat milk soap that I really like.

That's why I placed an order from Goat Milk Stuff. I'm going to place another order. I really like their soap. Going to buy their handwash to see if it will keep my hands from getting so dry this winter.

I can also buy it local from a farmer that makes it with goats milk.

How is the Goat Milk Stuff at removing makeup?

I'm sorry I don't know. I've always heard never wash your face with soap and I never have! But given the ingredients, I wouldn't be afraid to. They have a shampoo bar they say can be used on the body, so they seem pretty versatile. Get half a bar and try it?
