TGIF, Beauties! What Did You Use Up This Week 8/23?

Good morning, Beauties!

I used up

a sample packet of Korres Olive Body Cream in Orchid. I love how Korres Body Cream feels, but I just have not found a scent that I love from Korres. This one is okay, but I don't love it enough to purchase the full size.

a mini size of Perlier Hand Cream in Snowdrop. This scent is also just okay to me. But I do love trying all the different Perlier scents, and I have found several of my favorites. I would definitely purchase the big box of mini hand cream again this Christmas season.

I only used up:

Tweak'd By Nature Bye Bye Frizz Hairspray - full size. This was a BOGO deal from HSN host pick day. I still have another full size to use up. This isn't a hairspray I would buy again. I don't really like the smell at all. I also don't much care for the hold of this. If I use enough for it to actually do anything, my hair feels too stiff. But if I use less, it doesn't hold my hair at all.

I used up:

-a Tony Moly Calendula sheet mask. This was nice. Lightly moisturizing and not too scented.

-an OGX Tea Tree Mint shampoo. I like this one better for the cooler months. Is good for the scalp.

-a Glamglow Tropical Cleanse Daily Exfoliating Cleanser sample. Not worth whatever they are asking, I'm sure. (Glamglow is overpriced.)

-a 3 oz. B&BW Pink Sugarplum lotion. I'm sad this is gone. The scent was so nice, and not overpowering.

-a bottle of The Ordinary "Buffet." This is my peptide serum. Reasonably priced and mild.

-a B&BW Sparkling Peach body wash. This was an old one that I used to use a lot, but got tired of it. So it's been sitting around for awhile. Used it up as hand soap.

-an Almay face powder. Discontinued.

Used up my Oil of Olay Total Effects. Been using it for years & works better than anything else for me. Very few lines in this 70 year old face. I always have a spare on hand. Just thinking on how much $$ this little gem has saved me over the years! Expensive doesn't always mean better.

Welcome back @momoftwo2007 hope you enjoyed your vacation! I was away for a week and it was such a nice break.

Used up:

Coola Spray Sunscreen-I love this sunscreen, it works in extreme humidity, swimming, and is great for long days spent outside. Pricey but worth the protection. Will replace next year for vacation next summer. Bought Trader Joes Spray Sunscreen for the rest of this summer.

Epicuren Sunscreen- this worked well for face no white cast, but won't go out of my way to purchase. It was from a Beauty DNA subscription box, which I miss! Replaced with Trader Joes Mineral Sunscreen Face Stick from stash.

Philosophy Fresh Cream Lotion with SPF15- this was ok, very thick it is discontinued now.

Josie Maran Watermelon Body Scrub- just ok, came in a kit would not purchase on its own. Replaced with Shea Moisture Ground Coffee Scrub from stash.

WEN Kids Watermelon CC- loved this, the smell was so nice and the formula was just what my hair needed, replaced with WEN Kids Strawberry-Banana from stash.

Mally Perfect Prep Primer-nice, replaced with an old formula Mally's Face Defender I found in the stash.

It Cosmetics Hello Light Illuminating Powder- replaced with same from stash.

Happy Weekend, Ladies!

I finished off a compact of CG AquaSmooth in Ivory. Had a new one waiting in the drawer. I've tried dozens of foundations over the years, but always go back to AquaSmooth.

Used up a pump bottle of Neutrogena Foaming Face Cleanser. Replaced with Neutrogena Deep Clean.

BBW Body Wash in 'One In A Million.' Replaced with BBW 'Cactus Blossom' Body Wash which is thick and creamy. Me likey!

TGIF. . . .I used up:

Clinique happy hand cream 1 oz. this was GWP.

Qtips replaced with new package. I like the brand name q tips.

BBW 3 oz twisted peppermint body cream. Like this in the summer. Fresh!

I didn't use up anything, but my son used up an inexpensive body wash from the dollar store. I don't remember what it even was. I gave him a BBW Winter Candy Apple to use.

Used up a bottle of CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser (this is non foaming and very gentle). Replaced with same.

Also used up a bottle of Deva Curl Light Defining Gel, replaced with same (again) and also picked up a travel size bottle to go in my suitcase.

Tossed an old Bobbi Brown eyeshadow pallette that I never use.

I used up 3 face sheet masks and 1 foot sheet mask this week. I used up half a box of L'Oreal Preference in the shade 50 Santorini neutral brown to do a root touchup. I also gave my daughter my nice Catrice blushes and a highlighter (all made in Italy) and I got rid of 2 cans of Marc Anthony root touchup spray as those are not colorfast at all. Just touching your head accidentally and the stuff comes off on your hand. L'Oreal Root touchup spray is much better.

I also took a couple of Olay body washes that say that they are unscented but aren't and put them into hand wash bottles to use up as hand soap.

I used the last drop of my argan milk and replaced it with the same from my stash. I ordered the TSV yesterday too so that will be my new stash. Also used the IT cosmetics superhero mascara yesterday and found it had started making huge clumps so I chucked it and will not repurchase. Never had that happen to a mascara before,

CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion, replaced with same

Clinique Take The Day Off, replaced with same.

Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer, almost down to the last dropon 2 colors. Will not buy again, the formula wasn't for me.

Finally.... used up Consult Beauty serum that did nothing for my skin---I cocktailed it with other things I am trying to use up and FINALLY , got to throw the botte away. No more buying that garbage line either!!! also a bottle of amazing grace shower gel too.

Elf Beautifully Bare Natural Glow Face Palette I received this in a Target beauty box last year and really liked it - Contour, blush and highlight in one and perfect for travel. I would definitely repurchase but I have a lot of other blush/contour/highlight products to use up first.

Elf Matte Lip - in Natural - another winner from Elf - not much product and very nuse color but I like the application and wear.

Dolce and Gabanna Light Blue Eau Intense - my go to summer fragrance, sad to see it empty

Sample size Buxom Mascara - I like this one pretty well although the brush is a little big.

I just used up:

Living Proof Anti Humidity Shield Spray, I loved this in the past, but this last one seemed different.....Not sure I will buy again....

I also used up the last of my Purity Cleanser-need to re-order unless Dimitri has his Olive night cleanser in a bigger size, I love that one as well.

I also used up The Ordinary Niacinamide Serum-love this, so reasonably priced.....Like a lot of products from this line!

Just like @Grouchomarx , I finished up a bottle of argon milk and have another two in my stash, and one coming any day now with the TSV. Also used up a Dove beauty bar, and sent a Chapstick through the washing machine and dryer.
