HSN SKINN Pricing, Quantity and Autoship

Maybe it's just me but I think the prcing on the SKINN products being offered on HSN now is very high compared to what they were on Evine. I also don't like the fact that if you subscribe to autoship the payments are half of what the single ship payments are and that's across all of the HSN autoships now. QVC doesn't do that so maybe the new owners have set that policy up at HSN. I no longer do autoship on products there where in the past I had multiple ones. I stocked up on Evine each time he was on so I have a lot of poducts sitll but I did pull some out and looked at the quantity in my bottles compared to what is now being offered and they are about half of the size now and more expensive. I love Dimitri but I will not continue to use his products if this is his new norm. It's a shame because I think he;s going to loose more of his customer base he had when he was on Evine. Guess I'll go back to Philosophy or some other line offered on QVC or check out Serious Skin Care or the Consute Beaute on Evine. Their pricings and flex pays on autoship is more generous than what HSN offers. Maybe if he shows up on QVC at some point the autoship payments with be better. Such a shame.

@2tired4itFunny you should mention pricing. I had a 20% off coupon from HSN yesterday and went to check out Skinn Creme Reverse, which I love but have not purchased since Evine. I was SHOCKED..... the price definitely is higher. I had hoped for event pricing since he has the TS. I think his sets and deals were better on Evine.

Evine’s shipping fees were always a major complaint. HSN offers free shipping but nothing is ever free, so item prices were increased to accommodate that. Even so, the prices are still very good to excellent, IMO, because the products are coming directly from the manufacturer and made with effective, high quality ingredients. I have several auto deliveries set up since I was able to get them at the best price offered. I’m loving the DWP kit from a couple of months ago. That thing was a steal!

As a fan of Skinn, I read constant complaints here about Evine's high shipping rates..Now it is HSN, and their "high" prices..I cannot know what is a value in other people's eyes, but I am beginning to think that even if they GAVE Skinn away, and had it delivered by unicorns, there are still some people who would not be happy...

The prices are higher now that Skinn is on HSN but if you want good quality ingredients, Skinn out weighs Philosophpy or Serious Skin Care. Don't just look at the price. Look at ingredients too.

You're probably right - i won't pay $6.99 for shipping and won't pay high prices for something I can get elsewhere for the same or less. There are lots of good skincare lines out there anymore you just have to shop around. I used to use quite a bit of Skinn but I have found other lines that offer better results/value for me. Or, maybe I just like to complain!!

I select which products from Skinn I want to try, I find them on ebay for much less. No tax either.

@Mothertrucker - well said - I agree! The Skinn products that I use are EXCELLENT! Pricing is competitive even more so given the quality ingredients. And I'm glad for free shipping + event pricing.

Why is there such a predominance of negativity, constant complaining about the vendors, hosts etc here??? There's something off with the culture

I would think common sense tells us his sales are down, he has hardly had any air time at HSN. He was King at Evine!!

I agree with you Shelbelle....If you are very careful about WHO you buy from, and check EXPIRATION DATES, you can get some excellent deals on Skinn, on ebay

Exactly! Funny how there are so few if any posts about customers that switched from Skinn to Consulte or Philosophy etc with comments about their improved results or experience.

How do you know how he was treated at Evine? Very aggressive demands for new, re formulated products so Evine could ring the register? They worked him to death! And I suspect the primary reason why he left was due to compensation- those Evine execs were filling their personal pockets at his and customers expense.

He seems more himself or I guess more at ease on HSN than he did in the beginning..Last night he was on quite a while and was great

i loved the kits that Dimitri would have on Evine and many times they offered reduced or free shipping on some of his featured products and great pricing. I haven't really had the opportunity to catch him presenting on HSN but have looked over his pricing. Like his products but not that much. Moving on.

I don't know. HSN has a much bigger viewership than Evine. Skinn can be a run-of-the-mill, average skincare vendor on there and still probably sell a lot more volume and make a lot more money than being the headliner on Evine. I don't think he needs all of his original fans to do well. We are nice to have on board, but not crucial to his success going forward.
