topic I need advice on how to switch hairstylists within a salon in Beauty

This is a tough one. I have been going to a stylist for several years now. I have always been pleased with the color but not so much with the cut. I've thought about leaving the salon, but it is very convenient and a relatively good value. Any comparable place in my area would considerably more expensive, and I do every six weeks.

My stylist is on maternity leave right now, and so she set me up with a different person. I really like the this other stylist. She's much more detail-oriented and seemed to be more talented with cutting my curly hair.

I'd like to switch, but it's so darn awkward. Both women work basically the same hours, so I can't use the excuse that my schedule has changed or anything. What's the best way to handle this? TIA.
