I saw a presentation and thought it was a dupe for the Dyson. It’s now been reduced and 6 e/p.

Has anyone purchased it or have an opinion?

@Shanus , only an opinion, a prejudice actually, against anything from the Calista brand.

I purchased it but returned it within a week. Even on the lowest air speed setting, the air flow was way too much for my type of hair. My hair was a hot mess. I have weird hair anyway. Baby fine, natural body and wave. I tried to dry just using my fingers, then tried a round brush, and then a flat paddle brush. My hair was frizzy and dry looking. Furthermore, every time I used the dryer the ceiling and accent lighting in our bathroom would dim and flicker. I don't know what the wattage is on the product, but my husband thought it best to return. I've never had that happen with any other hair dryer I have ever used. I'll stick with my $30 Conair dryer. It isn't on clearance just a special event pricing. I would not recommend.

@Shanus What I learned about hair dryers is that the brand is important but not that important. What you want is a dryer that will not give you hair dryness. This is always mentioned in good dryers like T3, BaByliss, etc. There is something in the dryer that prevents dryness. I own a travel T3 and it has really made a difference in the texture of my hair (no longer dry).

Shanus, you'll want ceramic heat rather than the old coiled wire that gets glowing hot.

And you'll want a variable ionic feature.

Dial it up high for smooth styles & reduced frizz. Dial to lower ionic output for styles that need more volume.

I had a nice one, think it was from Conair or Revlon. Kept those ions dialled to max. I prefer digital technology, too. Fewer moving, breakable parts.

What I need is something that's ceramic, ionic, digital, lightweight and well balanced in the hand, with a huge diffuser with x-long fingers.

Let me know if you find one, please.
