Color the World Lipsticks--Reviews and Comments?

I've been seeing advertisements on Facebook for this lipstick company, Color The World. Their lipsticks look beautiful and as they advertise, they are vegan / natural / cruelty - free and made fresh for every order.

They also donate a portion of their proceeds to various charities. It's really very nice. So, I ordered three lipsticks which came out to about $11 a tube with free shipping.

I wonder if anyone here has any experience with them and what you think? I guess I should have asked this question BEFORE I ordered. I'm hoping for the best. Please be kind

I did a quick Google search and found many reviews and utube videos available. Margie Z video and hopetrope review are the two I took a peek at. Both are favorable, candid, well presented and swatches included. Just wanted to let you know there's plenty out there to peruse. The colors, cause, packaging and price are all attractive. This is not a long lasting matte product but more to the average wear, moisturizing lippie from what I viewed. Looks very nice. Hope you enjoy yours!

I received my three lipsticks today and I absolutely love them. They go on smooth, have no taste or fragrance, they last for hours (I swear!!) and the shades are just beautiful. My favorite is Huntress. It's like it was made for me! I also purchased Pretty N Pink and Rose. A percentage of the proceeds supports a charity, all having to do with women, animals and the planet.

You mean to say nobody has bought any Color the World Lipsticks? I have about a dozen tubes now, and plan to buy more. They get the best reviews from all over the country (or the world).

They advertise on Facebook as well as other sites. I LOVE their lipsticks!!!

I want to order a bundle (great pricing), but it is blazing hot in Maryland this week and I'm afraid they would melt.

The reviews on Makeupalley are terrible; plus, the company does not accept returns.

I would suggest another cruelty-free lipstick brand called Red Apple Lipstick. Their CS is excellent, and they have a six-month return policy. You can create your own bundle and save money.

I have several of their lipsticks and like them all.

ETA: My apologies to the OP. I hope that no offense is taken. :-)

I am almost done with my first tube of Color the World lipstick, Huntress. It is a really nice MLBB shade. I am 62 and these really do not bleed into the lip lines. Huntress even leaves a bit of a stain after the emollient part wears off. I will be ordering more.

@laurelei- Huntress is my favorite shade. I own two of them; one for home and one to carry around. If I had to pick a perfect shade for myself, this is IT!

@suzyQ3- no apology necessary! We all have our opinions. I don't read makeupalley so I never saw their reviews.

However, you might want to try a tube for yourself before you just toss it off. I know there are many people that love this brand, myself included.

I do wish they'd take returns though, as I did buy a few shades that don't suit me. When will I ever learn that I can't wear coral??? I just apply another shade over those and create a new shade. Bye bye coral!

I purchased 2 lipsticks, Huntress and Empowered. Online Huntress looked like a match for Indian Rose by Tom Ford which I received as a sample from Sephora. A full size lipstick is over $50 so I have been looking for a match. Huntress goes on lighter than it looks and turned pink on me after awhile. Empowered looked like Mauve online and in the tube but has a lavender cast. These light colors are not good on me.

I won't be trying more as I didn't think they were moisturizing and the color did not last. I do like that the tubes are made of paper and are printed with different designs.

I saw your post a while back and finally got around to ordering a three-pack. The colors are light, nude-based and sooo creamy. They are not too heavily-pigmented which I like, as dark lipsticks at my age make me look like Heath Ledger in Batman.
I got Dreamer, Glamberry and Empowered. I also adore the cardboard tube packaging.
Lo and behold, I was at CVS with my daughter yesterday and ALMAY has a new line of lipsticks in CARDBOARD tubes. Color the World may have started a new trend...

Did you notice the three-packs are the best value, especially when they have their 20 percent discount up?

Re: coral lipsticks...100 percent agree...I cannot wear corals. I recently bought a three-pack of Doll 10 lipsticks on HSN...two keepers, but I promptly gave away the coral shade!

I was ready to buy a couple of tubes of these lipsticks, I'd never heard of them until a couple of weeks ago. I was talking to my out-of-town sister and asked her if she'd seen them on FB. She said, "Don't buy them! I bought 3 tubes and I was so disappointed. The color fades like crazy and they dried out my lips." That was enough for me, until now... I'm reading all of these positive reviews about them and wondering once again if I should try one.

I have extremely dry lips. Are these better suited to lips that aren't chronically dry?

They didn't dry out my lips, but I dont have "extremely dry" lips, so I don't want to steer you wrong. They didn't last a long time on me, but no lipsticks do...I am constantly reapplying, no matter what the brand.

@sunala, thanks for starting this thread. I've seen the ad on Facebook a number of times and have been curious. I finally just checked the website and ordered a couple of the lipsticks. Looking forward to receiving them! I love the coral shades so I was happy to see some nice options for me!
