@CoastalGal I believe it was Pook who got me to start with the Hair, Nails and Face supplements and I was WOWED by the results. I started taking a more serious look at their products because nothing had worked until I used these.

I am a fan of Perricones supplements because of the ingredient deck. His all-purpose vitamin and his Vitamin E caps are staples as are his Berry and his Greens powders. That said, the TS of the vitamin for Women over 50 has now been added to my cupboard. I'm going to switch out this for my Perricone multi and see how it goes. Why? Because the TS addresses specific concerns of women over 50 with NO SOY (Perricone does not use soy either but AL does). I also have the Consulte Q-10 and it's excellent.

They have a return until January; try them for 2 months and see what you think. The same vitamin brand, I have found, doesn't work for everyone....kind of like skincare. Otherwise, you would have only 1 brand and everyone would be happy.

Oh, I'm also trying Consulte's beet drink....want to see how it compares to Perricones. I have not tried the green fizzy tablets yet.

I am also a HUGE fan of their tinted moisturizer (which is not a moisturizer for my dry skin but a full coverage foundation) and their concealer. Being honest, I laughed them off due to their "Hollywood" background and thought it was probably just another celebrity line so it'll here and gone tomorrrow. So far, every thing I've tried has impressed me enough to be a repeat buyer and I'm PICKY. VERY picky.

I love the Consult Beaute supplements!!! I use the Hair, Skin and Nail; the vein support (will never be without). Just ordered the CoQ10 and the Joint support (used this one before and order the larger bottle this time). This would be the perfect time to try them. There is a 15% off coupon ending real soon and you have till January 2019 to return. Just remember...supplements need time to get into the body. I didnt notice the changes from the HS & N supplement till about 20 to 30 days. For me, these work best when I take them at bedtime. Good Luck if you decide to order

I use both products from Andrew Lessman (AL) and Consult Health (CH). I find with CH there is something extra, proprietary, in their supplements that works for me. For instance I use the CH Mega Glow multi-vitamins and I also use AL Essiential one multi-vitamin. The supplement information is identical between the two except CH adds a proprietary blend that I like. I will eventually pass the AL vitamin onto my husband.

I also use CH beauty shake, beet drink, and choco-coeur. Although I like AL Choco-Nouvo better and waiting for a new shipment.

For hair I've been using the supplement Joyce Giraud Pure4 Ultimate Hair Strength Supplements sold on evine. And I like it because my stomach can tolerate it.

I've learned to listen to my body and see how it reacts to something vs listening to doctors/companies who aren't always right...especially when it comes women's health.

Black cohosh has been suggested to me numerous time by GYN's, MD's who specialize in bio-identical hormones, nurse practitioners as well as many women who use it and have found it has helped them FAR more than "traditional" drugs.

What works for one many not work for another; our history's with illness/medication/drug usage can make a huge difference not to mention genetics. Try it, see if it works and go from there.

To supplement or not to supplement is a personal choice. When you have a non critical ailment, do you want to try an alternative/natural ingredient to contain the symptom or choose to take a prescription is entirely upto the individual.

I have had acid reflux & 1 time borderline cholestrol issue. I tried containing it the natural way/supplementation along with good diet & excercise, never been happier. It surprised my Dr too. 20 yrs ago, for doctors to recommend yoga was unthinkable. Now they do. They do recommend taking vitamin D when you are lacking. Supplementation in moderation & need basis is essential. Going crazy over it is not.

I asked my PCP about taking supplements years ago and revisit the subject with her from time to time. Her feelings are eating a balanced diet w/ plenty of fruits and veggies is much healthier than supplements. She said to concentrate on choosing all colors of foods and dark leafy vegetables. I suppose if you feel your diet lacks certain nutrients, supplements may be nessary, but are available at my CVS buy 1 get 1 free. Why purchase designer, expensive ones from a shopping channel?

I have taken all different ones ~ and never relaly fell a big difference ~ but sometimes

i think maybe there is something i am missing ~ i willsay i bought tumeric supplement from Costco and it did work ~ i wa getting artritus in one of the finger on my right hand and the inflammation and stiffness is gone

@CoastalGal. I was getting arthritis in 2 fingers, right hand, and PCP suggested Accupuncture...6 sessions...gone and fingers never got crooked, knuckles straight....no pain. Every one is different w/ different needs and ways to approach health issues.

I know someone who was taking Black Cohosh for menopausal symptoms.

I went to WebMD and researched it and I decided to take a big pass on it. I will personally stay far, far away from black cohosh.

You can’t compare these herbal extracts that were not studied empirically, nor approved by the medical community with Aspirin, Acetaminophen and the likes. How would anyone know what dose is safe? By feeling well until you don’t anymore? Scary.

The problem with some of the supplements, like the 2 mentioned here, is that they haven't been studied enough to know about long term usage. Both say that they may possibly be safe for short term use. Black Cohosh specifically says it may be safe for use up to 1 year.

I didn't think the side effects listed with ashwaghandha really aren't that bad but again, it says for short term use.

Black Cohosh specifically ahd warnings about possible liver damage.
