Did anyone watch the Beekman shows yesterday on HSN?

First let me say I am not very familar with their products so I've been watching when they come on to see if their products are right for me. At least once on every show they bleeped out something the vendor was saying or the caller then at the bottom of the screen there was a disclaimer stating something like: extraordinary claims and something like: they can't make any medical claims. I've purchased numerous times on HSN & QVC and I've never seen them actually keep bleeping out so much or put a disclaimer.This kind of made me not trust the product. Like I said I'm not familar with their brand so I was hoping to learn more from the vendor as well and some of the callers who actually purchased their stuff, but it was really suspicious when there was dead air & they bleeped out so much. Wouldn't you think that they would "coach" the vendor on what to say & not say before going on air? I've never seen that happen on QVC. Maybe I'm making too much of it but since I'm not familar with Beekman I was hoping to get more informed about their products but this kind of thing was strange. Anyone else notice this? Please this post is merely my observation & I don't want this thread to be argumentative like some others so I would really love some other kind & informative opinions about this matter and Beekman products. Totally agree with you. I heard the same thing in almost every show. this makes me suspicious of the product. I ordered the duo hand cream and then read some negative reviews and i canceled. I can't trust any product when they bleep out things as they're about to say something.

I have to keep saying to myself this is a shopping channel and suzanne

I also heard the bleeps in about every show. I am suspisious of a product when this happens. I was going to order the duo hand creams until i read negative reviews. i canceled my order. ever since joy mangano's MIRACLE CLEAN I don't trust much of anything,especially suzanne runyon, I think this is her name. she was hyped up and then when i saw the deoderant sell out and the Beekman couple gave her free ones i thought that was terrible. someone else could have had her deoderant which i'm sure she got for nothing.

I didn't really watch the show but I did buy the oak moss soap for my hubby. We have been using the soaps and body butters for a while now when they were on Evine and although they are pricey they last a long time with both of using it and with my sensitive skin I got tired of using just dove soap as my dermatologist suggested. I've pretty much have tried almost everything except what they may have brought in that was new, I will probably check back on HSN to see if there is something I am interested in.

I've never really watched them for any length of time especially when they have the goat on walking around or holding it, that's a bit too much for me.

I know there are a lot of ladies on this board that buy their products and will probably jump on.

Your probably making too much of it. They like to say there is Honey in some of their products that don't have honey in them. I emailed HSN about the ingredients listed on their website are not the same as the ingredients listed on the products. Don't know if they have corrected that or not.

I love their soaps plus body cream in the jar over the lotion in the tubes. I also like their Ylang Ylang Tuberose line.

I have tried a lot of their products but for the most part I'm buying the soap.

Just buy 1 or 2 items to try & go from there to find what you like.

This is nothing about their products to be suspicous about , HSN is super strict about what they say about health and beauty products sometimes a caller will say what it does for them that is not under HSN guidelines. Since they had a lawsuit years ago , i am glad they are conservative , but i think they go overboard on the censoring , QVC never does this , they will do disclaimer or correct the guest in a polite way.

had their 11:00 pm show on and yes the audio went dead quite a few times. They were showing the hand and nail set with the colostrum serum and started making claims and the sound was muted. My .02 part of the reason was the host was embellishing along with them.

HSN used to constantly mute Suzanne S. did not watch them much on Evine; did they censor Beekman (or Suzanne S.)

I have purchased many things from Beekman on Evine and in stores in my area and everything that I have tried I have been very happy with. I love their soaps and lotions. I ordered the Snow Frost hand wash & lotion and hand lotion. I cant wait to get it. When they were on Evine they teamed up with Mackenzie Childs and had Flower Market lotions, washes & perfume that I love and stocked up on when they left Evine. I didn't watch the shows the op is talking about but if they bleeped things it's probably because the callers were making claims about how it helped with medical issues and legally the networks can't make any claims like that.

I watched some of their shows yesterday. I didn't see the one where things were bleeped out. Like any beauty product, results vary. I've tried their soap, got the Honey Grapefruit scent and it was very mild and didn't last long on me. I do like their lotions, creams, and especially their facial wipes. The wipes don't dry out my skin and I don't have breakouts.

@Bella2022: I was watching Suzanne and that same part regarding the deodorant. She started out by saying that honestly as much as she loves the idea of a natural deodorant but has not found them effective.

They gave her that one to try and to post on FaceBook what she thought of it. They said they wanted her to be honest. She was going to be playing tennis this morning and said she would use it and let them know.

She then “said” to the attorneys that she would be returning it.

Maybe that was all a set up but sounded sincere to me. I was not interested in ordering it. But I do love their soaps

I think that HSN is very much a stickler for what is being said. I have seen them bleep other products and hosts, because of some of the things they are saying....Not the Beekman Show, because I didn't see that one, but I have seen other shows where there is a lot of bleeping....Evine probably allowed Beekman to get away with a lot more......

I can only watch those two "neighbors" for just a little while til they start to drive me nuts----as with ALL the vendors on ALL the shopping channels, they go over the same info every time they are on---I get how to use a bar of soap the first time and what its made of---sheesh---so no---didn't watch at all.

A lot of Beekman's products callers rave about the products and then go on to make medical claims about how the products have helped their conditions. Sometimes the vendor or host will say 'we can't make medical claims' but we are glad you are enjoying the product. Sometimes the caller gets bleeped.

I haven't heard the vendor being bleeped or the host. But sometimes, no matter what the show, and what the shopping channel, I hear the hosts saying things that I know are not allowed or not true. HSN maybe getting more careful about this when it comes to beauty and health products. And the wording a vendor uses that is acceptable may be very similar to wording that the network considers unacceptable. After hours and hours on air, I wonder how they can think clearly.

I use the Beekman soap, body cream, and hand cream. I think they are excellent products. I don't have any difficult skin conditions, so I can't say that they did or did not help. But I can say they don't irritate my skin and I do have sensitive skin. And I find the body cream and hand cream to be moisturizing and absorb quickly. The soap is lovely and doesn't dry my skin.

Whether or not goat milk products, especially those that Beekman formulates are better absorbed, less irritating, and provide better results than some other lines, I don't know. It makes sense that the formulations they use, without petrochemicals, etc. might be better for the skin.

But then again, dermatologists recommend petroleum jelly for dry skin and for certain wound care. So the exact chemical composition may be critical.... petrochemical byproducts might not be the same as petroleum jelly!

Every vendor pushes their products. It's called marketing. We tend to believe or not believe partly on whether we are comfortable with the vendor and what they are saying.

@Nightowlz, I haven't watched any of their live presentations, but I have ordered a few of their items: hand lotion/hand soap duo in the Ylang Ylang and the lip balm. I'm very happy with the hand lotion/soap and love the Ylang fragrance....as for the lip balm, I'm not thrilled with it and really don't see much difference from any of the lip balms I buy at Walgreen's. The best lip balm for me was the free one I received in a box of Celestial Seasonings herbal tea! Go figure. Overall, I think the Beekman line is pricey, and some of it is better than others. Do I trust the products? Of course I do.
