Grande Lash Formula Change

I just got the Grande Lash/Brow combo from HSN and noticed that the formula has changed from the last Grande Lash I used. Mostly it's the same, but about halfway down the ingredient list it changes and the active ingredient has moved to the bottom of the list. While it worked for me before, I had to use it 2x/day vs the 1x/day recommended to get growthn and then I backed off to 1x/day. I hope moving the active ingredient to the end doesn't affect the performance.

I am back to revitalash. I can’t seam to get the same results with anything else. I tried Neulash recently and OMG were my eyelids irritates.

would love to hear how the new formula is working for you.

i was wondering about that, even though i did not compare ingredients, it seems these companies love to change their formulas. i'm still on my June shipment tube.

I'm in my fourth week of using Careprost (same as Latisse) and I'm already seeing more lashes and they are getting longer, too. I buy it from All Day Chemist w/o a Rx. You can get two bottles of it with a free shipping special going on now for $32. That's about a two-month supply...long enough to see results. After seeing results already, I have placed an order for six more bottles priced even lower because it gets cheaper the more you buy when you purchase this in multiples at their regular price.

eta- My last ADC order was for 6 bottles of Careprost and 6 tubes of Retino-A cream...all for under $100 and I got free shipping with that because of a code they gave me. Right now there is free shipping for $75 or more (no code needed), or $15 shipping charge for orders under that amount.

@Icegoddess: Oh no! I have not checked ingredients but have had great luck since I started using since this last spring. Bought from HSN.

The Brow Serum has actually helped me regrow my eyebrows. I'm 73 so you know they won’t grow on their own.

The Grande Lash has really been great. Holy smokes my lashes started growing in fast. I realized I was using it twice a day so cut back to once and have skipped a day here or there but that makes me nervous to do.

So frustrating when you find something that works and then they change the formula. I'll have to pay close attention. I always had naturally thick and long lashes so hated to see my skimpy lashes.

I'm witholding judgement. At least they didn't remove the active ingredient like RapidLash did. I'm not sure why the FDA jumped on RapidLash but these other companies are still allowed to use prostaglandins though.

@SilleeMee, if I remember correctly, ADC is an overseas company, and I think some folks may have had some credit card fraud issues in the past with them. So, I remember it being advised to use prepaid cards with them? I have a cat with asthma and the vet recommended getting his drugs outside of the US due to cost. One place that was recommended by the feline asthma group I'm in didn't take credit cards. Instead they either wanted Bitcoins or you had to use a third-party service (which of course you had to pay for). That made me uncomfortable so I ended up going with a Canadian pharmacy instead.

@Icegoddess,

ADC will accept echecks only, no cc or PayPal either. I have never had a problem with paying them with an echeck. If you know about international methods of payments, echecks are one of the most secure ways to pay.

BTW, I just had to stop using Rapid Brow, used it for 4 weeks and now I notuiced it has turned my skin under my brows dark, looks like I am wearing a dark grey eyeshadow, horrible. Sone one here recommended trying Grande Brow.

When you go to place an order with ADC there will be a page where you will put your bank account and routing numbers. This type of transaction is the same as if you wrote a paper check but w/o your hand written signature on it. The echeck is paid directly from your account to ADC, no others can validate its worth. It takes about 2 to 3 days to clear and will appear on your bank record as IWEBDYNAMICS followed by a unique transaction number. I'm using the Careprost on my brows. I'm 4 weeks in and I noticed the skin darkening also. But luckily my brow hairs are naturally very dark brown, almost black so the darkening effect is not really noticeable and in a way it's not a bad side effect. I like that my brows look 'filled in' w/o me having to do that with a pencil. @Shelbelle

If an ingredient moves from the middle to the end of the ingredient list, that doesn't necessarily mean there is less in the product than before. Ingredients are only listed in order if they are over 1% of the product. If there was 1% or less of the active in the product, it can be moved around and listed in any order among all the other ingredients that are 1% or less.

I personally wouldn't use any prostaglandin type ingredients on my lashes. When I tried that, my lashes grew quite long, but they also all shed at the same time. So I had at least a week or two of unusually short baby lashes. Also my eyelid did start to discolor. That's when I quit.

Additionally some studies have shown that this type of ingredient can contribute to dry eye and loss of fat around the eye area. So...that's why I don't use it anymore. My three cents.

But, why would they? That means a chage in packaging which = $.

The only thing that seems to work for me is a prostaglandin. I have tried the alternatives and they don't work for me.

I have been using Grande Lash for a few months and it has helped some but I have noticed a slight discoloration on my eyelid where I put the product. It's not very dark at all but I can see the change. If I were to purchase the Careprost product from ADC will this also potentially darken it even more as it is a prescription strength product? or is the actives in it different then Grande Lash/Rapid Lash??

Where my skin has darkened due to the Rapid Brow is way under my brows, this does not blend in with brows at all and looks simply awful, i am doing my best to get rid of it by exfoliating the area quite a bit. My broiws , what is left of them, are also dark brown. Even a good concealer does not hide the darker skin.

I'm also using Careprost (Latisse) from All Day Chemist. I posted a thread on my results back in August. This is a picture at 12 weeks. However, I had favorable results much earlier.

Are you seeing any skin-darkening effects from using the Careprost? @San Antonio Gal I am, a little darkening under the brow hairs but not on my lids.

I don't want that much growth. I have small round eyes and lashes that long would look ridiculous.

Is it possible the product is migrating? Maybe if you just brushed onto the top of your eyebrows. If it's migrating, it should also reach the follicles for the lower brow maybe without darkening below.

As far as the lashes getting too long, just wanted you to know that mine were long to begin with. If they do get too long for your eyes, perhaps you could trim? (I used one coat of last primer and one coat of mascara in these pics).
