The ingredients for the unscented fragrance list apple. So maybe it is a light, clean, apple-y scent. Sort of like philoposphy's Snow Angel ?

Is this for real?Is it perfume?Or does she mean fragrance free body butter?I could not purchase fragrance free perfume without thinking it was a joke....I must say though that philosophy’s perfumes are getting really close to fragrance free....a trend?

Fragrance-free means that no scent of any kind has been added. Unscented means that there's no fragrance added but some chemicals have been used to neutralize unpleasant odors in a product and make it easier to use. Perhaps that's what Josie's "unscented fragrance" is, the scent of those chemicals that are being used to mask smelly ingredients?

I just wanted to point out the difference between fragrance free and unscented. Unfortunately, I see the two terms used interchangeably here, which is not correct.

I know many here have no confusion over these two terms, but I still see them used incorrectly in posts and critical product reviews.

An unscented product has nothing added just for fragrance, but does have a masking agent added to 'hide' the scent from our brain.

A fragrance free product hasn't had anything added just for the purpose of adding fragrance, but you will smell the ingredients.
