Best light coverage foundation for mature skin.

A few months ago I started using Flawless Finish Transforming Effect foundation by Mally.I really like it. It goes on very light & gives great natural coverage.You can control how much coverage you want.

I like Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick. You can adjust coverage if needed.

@jobiz. Have you tried using a tinted moisturizer? That's what I use when I want light coverage. I believe mine is Neutrogena.

I would suggest a tinted moisturizer. Laura Mercier is very well liked. (They have it in an oil free version also if preferred.)

@jobiz I second the recommendations for Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizers, Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick (buildable coverage from light to medium/full) & when in a rush, BE Original Powder Foundation.

I have used this for a few years and really like it. I like the light coverage.

I agree that tinted moisturizers sound like the way to go. Also there are a lot of CC creams and I find that these are good when I just want to hurry up and get out the door. Its like a one step product -- moisturize, a bit of coverage and color. I use Cover Girl or Physician Formula.

@jobiz I use and like several but the one I like and use most is Perricone's No Foundation Foundation - not the serum but the original. I also have found Skinn Cosmetics Deep Wrinkle Protocol Perfect Skin Foundation & Concealer that @sonechko recommended. The other one I use at times is Consult Beaute Volumagen Volumizing Complexion Perfector tinted moisturizer. (Both Skinn and Consult Beaute are on Evine).

i don't need much coverage and use a concealer stick where needed, then Mineral Veil. it is the no-makeup look.

When I want light coverage and quick application to get out the door, I just use my Mally Neutralizing Primer all by itself. It controls oil (which is important for me) and camoflages my blotchiness. In fact, I wear my Mally Neutralizing primer more often than I wear a foundation.

***I keep 2 concealer shades. One matches my complexion and the other is a shade lighter for under eyes. If I use the complexion shade first to lightly cover any spots or red areas (around nose, etc), I can then apply much less tinted moisturizer or other foundations like BB Stick.

I recently purchased the Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage which has 2 shades of concealer...very dense. You dip brush lightly back & forth in both colors, warm up on back of hand & use as face concealer. It’s too thick for under eyes.

If I find new products I like, it’s a one for me and one for my pro kit in a light, medium and dark to cover most bases. My pro kit makeup is a business expense (Yay), so I also can try colors there on clients that I wouldn’t purchase for myself...darker lip colors, smokier shadows, shimmer shadows, etc.

I highly recommend Urban Decay tinted moisturizer. It’s perfect for mature skin and colors are great, very blendable, and feels great on your skin.

Perricone Tinted Moisturizer is lightweight and very beautiful. It gives you a healthy moisturized look with the slighted bit of color. The coverage is minimal so it you are covering anything up, you may want to touch up with a concealer.

I have found the absolute best, most natural looking foundation is L'Oreal true match. I personally prefer to just use the powder, but when getting dressed up for an occasion I use the liquid. Both are light coverage and very natural looking. I also use the true match powder blush in a rose shade.

I am surprised no one has recommended It Cosmetics Bye Bye Foundation Moisturizer. You can use just a tiny bit and with the brush, it takes just a minute to brush it on. I have tried tinted moisturizers, but they did not cover what I needed to cover, and while I did love Bare Minerals when I was younger, it just sits on my face and does not seems to blend in now. The Bye Bye Foundation is very moist and blends well. It can be built upon as well.
