Microfiber Hair Towel

Has anyone tried this type of hair towel? I saw them at TJ Maxx's today. I have the regular turbie twist towels but had never seen this kind. If you have, does it work good? Thanks

I tried this kind years ago and discovered I didn't care for the microfiber vs 100% cotton and button vs elastic loop on Turbie Twists.

I bought a microfiber towel that is meant to go to the gym, that isn’t Terry-like but is almost smooth. It is big enough to go around my hair and tie. I like this the best because it keeps my hair from getting frizzy.

I am a "Curly Girl Method" follower and cotton only makes my hair messy and frizzy. Many people use a smooth knit t-shirt to tie. My hair has never looked better.

@VenturaHighway I have this and like it. I also have a glove made out of microfiber made to dry hair. It is also good, does the job.

I use the Calista thirsty towel and love it. (The picture is not me — she’s a lot younger.)

the all cotton are so much better for getting all the water out, which surprised me,

I love microfiber stuff for house cleaning

so stay with the all cotton ones for your hair when you can find them.

I have one or two of the microfiber and much prefer the 100% cotton. Seems like the microfiber dries my coarse hair too fast.

They do, but I would not recommend that one. The microfiber that look soft and fuzzy like a stuffed animal is often the kind that clings to hair like Velcro and causes frizz. The microfiber that's not fuzzy and is tightly woven is much better. I like the Aquis towels and turbans.

@Alison Wonderland, I use Aquis waffle microfiber towels for my hair. Even so, I still just gently blot.

Using terry cotton on curly hair roughs up the cuticle, resulting if frizz.

I have one of these too that I got at TJ Maxx or Marshalls.

I like it and the button a lot better than the twistie towel thing like others said but my favorite is a smooth terry cloth cotton I got awhile ago. They are hard to find and I don't remember where I got it!

I just like the feel of the cotton better and it takes a lot of the water out.

I don't know about making it more frizzy. My hair would need a gallon of something to make it not frizz, no matter what I used to dry it.

@VenturaHighway Having curly hair that frizzes & breaks more easily, I’ve used microfiber towels for many years. I’ve seen them at TJ Max, Marshall’s in towel style or turban style. BB&B has larger ones for longer hair...20% off coupons avail. everywhere.

I've got thick hair and the microfiber ones didn't work at all. I recently purchased Joy's from HSN and love it. It's nice and thick and works well for my hair. 98% Cotton and 2% Spandex:

It came in the TSV kit a few weeks ago (dryer w/attachments). I love it however I’ve used the others too. I hope you can find it.

I have long curly hair and I love these Joy towels! They were such a find. No frizz and dries my hair beautifully. I leave it on for half an hour, add product, diffuse for 5 minutes and done.
