@Kachina624 ITA. Perfector, one w/ different size barrel choices, one that comes w/ 2 barrel choices, etc. Time to move on.

I use mine every time I do my hair. No other hair tool does what it does and at the same time, save time! I use it mostly to smooth my long hair and give it a slight flip on the ends. I don't curl my hair with it. For me the Perfecter gets my hair looking good and it doesn't take long to do.

I love the Perfecter. I have 2 (different barrel sizes). I'm always interested to see what is new; if I don't need it or like it, I don't buy. Not sure why qvc should stop selling this as much as they are, if it is selling.

ETA @SilleeMee me too! I don't use it to curl my hair (which I don't want anyway), just to smooth it.

Yes! I own two different size barrels, too. @Mj12 The first one I got was a bit small for my long hair and they didn't have a the bigger one yet. So when the biggest 1-1/2 size came out I jumped on it.

Not for me. Tried this item, didn't do a thing for my hair. Returned it. LOL

I think this is probably a godsend for people with thick, course hair or even for people who have wave or curl to their hair.

I have thin, fine, poker straight hair. I couldn't even get this to put bend in my hair. It was like using nothing at all.

I bought a John Frieda round brush that dries at the same time and that works much better for my hair type.

I have baby fine, naturally wavy hair. I can't use a curling iron with a clamp. I LOVE my Perfecter Pro. My hair is short and I have the one inch (too large for short hair) and I own the three quarter and one half inch barrel now that I have shorter hair. They usually have this item as a TSV once a year.

@Jordan2. @SilleeMee. I had one once and it didn't work because my hair is too short. Got one from Amazon for $12. that works great. The dog got the Calista thingy and chewed it up. End of Calista problem.

LOL! @Kachina624 Good dog...maybe...?? My dog chewed up my Emjoi Micropedi one day. Came home and there it was in pieces all over my living room floor. At first I didn't know what it was until I saw the roller. Guess that part was too RUFF...lol!

I LOVE this product and I have it in 3 different sizes! I have long straight hair, not too thick and it works great on me!

I highly recommend at least trying it..My hair has never looked so healty and shiny....

Here’s the thing (😜). For the times I do want to slightly straighten my curls, I still need to use a blow dryer w/ a round brush first. So, the Perfector seems like an unnecessary step unless it’s for 2nd or 3rd day hair.

It’s strange how the same vendors have TSVs so often.

Like others definitely did not work on my fine hair. Ended up trashing it. Now they have a 1/2" but not spending that kind of $ to try again plus not interested in the products. Will stick with my curling iron and Nick Chavez hairspray to heat set my hair. I agree about so many repeat TSV's.

****I asked my stylist, after a haircut and before she started to blow dry, to talk me through the technique of using a round boar bristle brush to slightly straighten my long pixie. It’s really quite easy with practice and eliminates extra styling tools. I can get the same smoother look as the curly haired models she’s using the Perfector to style. I just don’t get it.

I can get all these results with a hairdryer and brush, quickly and easily. I did try a perfecter when it first came out, used it on second day hair, and it did nothing. In fact, it flattened my hair to my scalp after using it and I had to wash it and begin again.

Later I realized from one brief comment during a demo that if you style your hair at all with any other tool first, the perfector won't work well after that. You need to use it on dry hair, not touched by a styling tool.

In that case, it wasn't what I needed or wanted so I returned it. If I let my hair air dry or dry it with a hairdryer it would be difficult to salvage any style at all.

However, if you can air dry your hair and then want to style it a bit, this tool might be right for you.

I doubt if this new one is significantly different from that first one in the way you use it, and I have never had my fragile hair get tangled in my brush I use with my blowdryer and I did when i tried the perfecter.

I blow dry my hair with a brush made for that and it is fast and easy. I touch up with my Chi styling iron, also from QVC, and can get curls or straighten odd areas that have a mind of their own. Also fast and easy. I have now learned not to believe that every tool that comes along will be "the answer"!
