@Shanus I remember seeing a photo of you on here a year or so ago and thinking how much I LOVED your hairstyle. Your pixie cut was great for you; it was very stylish, even more so than Jennifer Lawrences.

@Texasmouse. I like this & have had it this short before....also spiked the top layers w/ gel. The cut I chose is longer because it’s long enough to still wear it curly if I choose.

@San Antonio Gal I’m always changing up my hair. I like variety. The downside is more make a necessity since more face showing...especially eyes...Will just add grey or navy liner in a very thin/smudged line for definition.

@Sweet_Serenity Mine is similar to this now but about 2” longer. Just ready for a change. Not one to fuss w/ hair re: ponytails, updos, hairbands, etc. Just can’t imagine that hair on my neck & face when it’s 95 & humid.

@Citrine1 Yes. That’s when I first transitioned to white/silver and had it cut very short to get rid of last bits of damage from bleaching out 40 yrs. of dark brown dye.

@Shanus...the last photos that I saw of your hair it was very curly. Won't you need to straighten your hair with a blowdryer and brush with the addition of a straight iron? If you dry your hair naturally, it would remain curly?

The photo of the back of your hair was a pretty mass of curls? I know that when I used to do my mom's hair, if she dried it naturally she could never go as straight as your photo. Isn't that style in the photo going against your natural hair? It would be like me trying to have a mass of curls with my polka straight hair.... Won't this be a lot of work for you?

@Trinity11 Surprisingly, when my hair is short, it easily goes straight w/ a little shine spray when wet...maybe a touch up w/ round brush & dryer just on bang area. In fact, when hair’s wet, straight as a stick...When I go to a different stylist, I have her wet my hair & dry it to see it goes either way. In original pic, way back, when had it cut short to get dark dye off, it was straight...no curls. It depends on my curly mousse, diffuser, etc.

The “Jennifer Lawrence pic” I chose is because the layers in that pixie are still long enough for me to wear curly when I want.

OP the photo you show, in my consideration, is certainly not a pixie. Its adorable but its just a short haircut. The Charleze Theron haircut pictured is a true pixie. I wear my hair in a very short pixie but its longer on top and highlighted. Mine is very short all the time, not seasonally. Love my short do!

@ID2 A good stylist adjusts the photo to hair texture, face shape, thickness and wave in hair. This photo is just a starting point...I’m sure the sides will be a little shorter. I like the top & bangs longer. I’ve always had short hair, so taking other photos of me over last 5 yrs. too.

@haddon9 When doing full makeup (not often) & going somewhere that really matters, I have a foundation stick several shades darker than my usual one. I place a very thin line of that right under jawline and chin and blend well with round foundation brush....Smoke and mirrors. Lol
