Anyone following the DECIEM (The Ordinary, etc) drama?

The crazy unhinged instagram clips of the Co-Founder have been out of control. I think Elle online has a detailed timeline. Now, this happened today:

I've gotten lucky with a few serums from The Orindary (Buffet, Niacinamide, Matrixyl, 2% Retinol) but most of of what I tried have been duds. Thoughts?

I read an article about this and how he fired his Co-CEO.

This is a great example of the type of people that build things with one hand and destroy it with the other. DECIEM is such a disruption to the beauty industry and now it caught up with them.

I don’t pay attention to most of the drama out there so I have no clue nor do I care.There is too much more important "drama" in the world today to care about beauty line drama.

thoughts about the products?? I like some. Most i don’t. I’ve been waiting for more of their makeup to come out and the sunscreen to try.

I have quite a few items from The Ordinary and I really like them. I have the Granactive Retinoids 2%, the Matrixyl 10%, Glycolic Acid 7%, Serum Foundation, foundation primer, and a couple other acids.

I know my skin is never going to look like I’m 17 again, unless I go under the knife, which is no guarantee. No high end or affordable skin care line is going to make me look 17 either, and that’s one of the reasons I’ve switched over to this line. I don’t have problematic skin and very few fine lines, and this skin care works for me. The next item I want is a moisturizer. People have different needs and expectations when it comes to skin care. For the price I am just as happy as someone who loves Lancôme, Drunk Elephant, etc. It’s definitely personal preference.

I've had some success with The Ordinary products and an eye serum from Niod and you can't beat the price, but the CEO seems to really need some kind of help. The execs at Estee Lauder must be wondering what on earth they got themselves into.

Side note: I've also tried some of the Deciem body and hair products. Quite effective but the scent just about knocked me out. If you're scent sensitive my advice would be to give these a wide berth.

I use the Niod Elasticity catalyst, which I love. The founder of Deciem may be a bit unhinged but since Deciem has turned the beauty industry on its ear it would pay for other companies to push that narrative. I am sure there are a number of companies that are not happy with Deciem. If anyone wants to try Deciem products on Cyber Monday they have a really great promotion. Get on their e-mail list.

ugh, that Brandon Truaxe meltdowns on social media is getting old. what a doofus. I wonder if Deciem will even be around when I visit the Burnaby, B.C. store at Metrotown mall next month. I own the 10% lactic acid 2% hyalauronic acid serum but I want to shop at a bricks and mortar store. I thought that the selection at a bricks and mortar store in Australia was poor so who knows what it will be at a Deciem store. I've read complaints about inventory not being replenished in a timely manner. The flakey owner sure doesn't help this company's image.

I don’t follow the drama behind the brand but have been loving some of the serums. Absolutely adore the caffeine solution for the eyes, Buffet and the argireline solution. So I guess the verdict is that I like some but most are duds - as is the case with every single brand out there from cheapest to most expensive.

Brandon Truaxe, the founder and CEO of Deciem fired his social media employees a few months ago and he took over their accounts. He posts his meltdowns on the company's instagram account and then deletes the posts. His latest alleged crazy behavior he wanted the public to call the police as he alleges his luggage was missing.

He bashes his followers who ask him if he's ok and fires employees who question his irrational behavior. The online gossip on youtube spilling the tea channels is that he's in the untreated manic phase of a bipolar disorder.
