What perfume did your Mom wear?

Before my Mom passed I asked her what her first perfume was. She said Tabu.

Well, I found an old, small bottle of Tabu amongst her things.

I just love the way it smells on me, sparingly applied.

Hubby can't stand it. Figures. I wear it occasionally anyway.

My question to you is, do you know your Mother's first/favorite perfume and if so, do you like it on yourself (that is if it still available)?

I don't remember what my mother wore when she was young, but she was an Estee Lauder fan with her skin care and makeup. I remember her wearing Youth Dew perfume. I liked it on her, but it was not for me .

when we were kids, we would buy mom White Shoulders, Evening in Paris. once we were grown, my mother loved the perfume that Charlize Theron advertises called J'Adore by Dior.

mac116, my Mom also wore Estee Lauder Youth Dew. It was her signature scent and smelled lovely on her...but, not on me!

Chanel #5. I can still remember her getting dressed up and then bending over and dabbing some on me when I was litle.

She wore Tigress occasionally and it smelled so fabulous on her. I could never wear it. I can't wear anything with musk in it. But, on her, it smelled wonderful.

I wore Chanel #5, also, but I wore #22 a lot.

I think this is the loveliest question, especially with Mother's Day on the horizon! There's nothing like scent to evoke fond memories. My Mom seemed to love the Faberge scents of Woodhue and Aphrodisia. Maybe she was pretending to, because that's what we could afford to give her! I liked them too, but haven't smelled them for years. Vermont Country Store carries them now, although I think they say it's a "version" of them. For a short time Faberge also made a brighter scent called "Straw Hat" that had more colorful packaging, and my Mom loved that. Looking forward to others' responses!

Great question. I honestly can’t remember but she always smelled nice. She also used talc powder. That was a big deal back in the day.🙏🏻

my mom must have close to 60 perfumes.....she uses them and decorates with them.

i dont think she has one "scent" to connect her to.....

My Mom use to wear Evyan's Most Precious. When clearing out my mother's home when she went into nursing care, I came across an old little bottle of Most Precious and one whiff brought back memories of being a young child with my mom. Perhaps that's why when I was starting my first professional job, I was gifted with Evyan's White Shoulders and just fell head over heals with the scent. Best part was guys I dated always complimented me on the scent!! hahaha Married the best guy I ever dated and his nose is strictly for show....can't smell a thing so doesn't matter if I wear a scent or not!!

My Mom wears perfume only occasionally but when she does, it's usually Clinique Aromatics Elixir. This is not my favorite scent but she loves it and I love her!

She'd sometimes bring cologne home from certain vacations. Two I remember were White Witch from Jamaica and Wicked Wahine from Hawaii. LOL

Chanel No. 5 is one of my favorites.

When I was really young I remember her wearing Chanel No 5, and l’air du temps (which she still wears at 85!). I broke a bottle of her l’air du temps, I was playing with the birds on the stopper. We were at Ulta recently and she really liked la vie est belle, I will get some for her for mother’s Day.
