Hi @patticakes..... I am not an experienced self tanner. Mostly because all the ones that I have tried turned me orange, or streaked or rubbed off on clothes ...... and took forever to dry. I recently found self tanning towelettes from HSN. I am really happy with them. I use the classic ones for fair to medium skin tones. I get a nice realistic looking tan, they don't streak, they dry quickly and don't rub off on clothes.

I've tried many self-tanners either from the Q or purchased at stores and can't seem to find one that realy works well for me. I'm light skinned, not porcelain/fair, but definitely light sinned with warm tones and everything I've tried either turns a yellowish color or orangey. I'd like to find one that definitely doesn't do either but just a nice, light to medium tan. I do exfolliate and am not sure if there's really a tanner out there that will work for me. Any suggestions?

I am very fair and have freckles, live in Florida and fear too much sun. I use Aveeno, fair. It gives me just the right tone so I am not washed out.

I too am light skinned and have had trouble finding one that works for me. I have found that Josie Maran Argan Liquid Gold Self Tanning Oil works so well for me. I love it. I only use a small amount and I mix it with a little moisturizer too. I hope it works for you too!

I would probably try one of the buildable self-tanning lotions like Jergens. Make sure you buy the one for you skintone. Don't buy medium/dark if you have fair skin.

I personally have used and like St. Tropez but if I had never used it and watched the presentations on QVC, I'd never try it. Everyone is way over fake tanned to the point they look orangey or brown and muddy.

They all look so over baked and fake. I like a little color with Jergens or Tan Towels but not to the extreme lengths taken on TV.
