Has Anyone been Following the Tati Fiasco on Youtube?

I don't know if you're familiar, but Tati Westbrook is a very popular beauty guru on Youtube. I've been watching her for years since she does a lot of drugstore makeup reviews and has original content that you don't see on other channels. She recently started her own beauty company called Halo and launched her first item--a hair,skin, and nails multivitamin. OMG, she has been ripped to shreds! People are so very critical because they were expecting her to release a makeup item. Morever, they feel she doesn't have the expertise to release of supplement that has pretty outrageous claims in their opinion. It is $40 for a 1 month supply.

I feel like you are taking a risk by releasing a multivitamin. At the same time, I really can't stand how people are so negative and want to knock someone down. If you don't like it, don't buy it.

Yes I have seen the drama. Kind of weird to come out with a multi vitamin. The claims are outrageous. Like being able to slow down getting gray hair. She reviews makeup so I can see why people feel let down. No way a vitamin like this is going to become successful. Where as if she would of came out with a makeup product it would of sold tons just on her name.

Yeah, I have if only because it shows the %$#&^$ that society truly is. It's disgusting how she's being treated, so many of the posts on Instagram, YouTube and Twitter are so racist and sexist and....well....it's a window into this wonderful world of ours.

Beyond that, I applaud her for doing her OWN thing and wish her great success.

I think she’s sold quite a few bottles. I don’t feel that bad for her. She’s been on the social media circuit for years, she knows how cruel faceless people can be. Her and her husband have made a nice living off social media. Lots of free goodies and big paycheck

People buy over hyped over priced products all the time.

I had to laugh though, lol'ed at the grey hair claim. She is gonna be a zillionaire since she now has the cure for grey hair. I mean come on, how could anyone take her serious after that false claim?

@JBKO I just went on YouTube to find out what all the drama is about. I think what happened is that Tati made a business mistake. By launching a vitamin supplement product, she should have some kind of scientist with her at the launch video to help explain the products.

Andrew Lessman from HSN studied Biochemistry and medicine, and that is why he is a good spokesperson for his brand of vitamins. You can tell immediately by his presentation that he is very versed in health and supplements. And he always shows his lab to let his viewers know exactly where it is made.

I think it is fine for Tati to start her vitamin brand, but I just think that the launch would have gone much better if she had a biochemist, physician, or pharmacist, or someone from the lab with her to give a better explanation on why her vitamins are better than others.

The reason that people are so hard on her is because she is a reviewer of products. And she gives opinions on different products. And maybe people feel like they can also give their opinions about her products, too. I don't think that they are purposely trying to knock someone down.

Yes, I watched the Tati videoclip on youtube announcing her vitamin supplement and watched a bunch of videos critical of the product and how it was launched. I agree that the launch wasn't very well done and that there's a lot of questions about what's in the supplement and who can and cannot use it.

I think it goes with the territory when you are a big youtube beauty influencer as not everyone will like everything you do. It's not surprising that Tati disabled comments on some of her youtube videos due to the backlash as well as the trolls.

I don't know. Years ago I heard several lectures by a distinguished doctor who espoused that gray hair, along with most other ailments, was a nutritional matter.

I don't follow anyone on youtube, but I would still be interested to see what percentages of certain nutrients are in her multi.

Finally saw the composition. Everything in there seems plausible to me about her claims (hair, skin & nails). What is lacking, perhaps is the testing. But I would volunteer to be one of the guinea pigs.

I like Tati and believe she's being treated awfully. If people aren't interested, they shouldn't buy. She obviously didn't create everything on her own and had experts involved. If she only cared about making $$, she would've come out with a $50 highlighter or palette and most of the people bashing her would be buying it up.

It saddens me how nasty and cruel people are behind their keyboards. They act like bully children instead of the adults they supposedly are.

I like Tati, however she may have been more business savvy to have brought out something else more make-up related first. The, add to her established line with supplements or whatever. She a business woman, in a very "public" spot. At some point it needs to just roll off her back!

I do believe that she relied too much on believing that her followers will simply buy her product because "she's Tati". She really should have had a chemist or pharmacist with her during her launch. It would have given her so much more credibility.

That being said, all the hate that is coming towards her is mostly unwarranted. You have to have a thick skin to put up with that.
