So I have been thinking of an experiment lately. I have an abundance of Josie's Argan oil, as well as a couple Maracuja bottles that I doubt I will utilize since I am not fond of the Maracuja.

At one time, about 15 years ago my skin started to get very sensitive. I had been given a wonderful bar of home crafted soap to use which really improved my skin dryness. In hindsight it was because I had moved from a fairly humid environment to the high desert with single-digit humidity but at the time I was so distressed I didn't think of that. So I started making my own soap which I found fun and very therapeutic, not to mention made great gifts when coupled with a nice jar of homemade bath salts. As a single mom who was a full-time college student, economic was important when trying to stretch my very limited budget.

So I utilized a variety of oils... but never Argan or Maracuja. But I do know chemistry, and they should act completely the same. Oil is oil is oil. Some have better properties for the skin, but oil is oil.

Has anyone made soap using argan or maracuja? Or even better yet, have they tried whipping it up into a body butter? I have some palm oil and I think I have some coconut oil here as well as some pure organic shea butter, not to mention olive. But I was toying with the thought of tossing some into the KitchenAid and whipping it up. Soap making can take a lon time, since it has to cure for 30 days but whipping the oil shouldn't take near that long, lol!

Any feedback is welcome. I guess I am just in an experimenting mood!
