Two Benefit Finds Worth Mentioning....

I jumped off the drugstore m/u bandwagon for a few items from Benefit. One, an older product, is "Hello Flawless" -the powder formula. This really is a creamy powder as advertised. I haven't noticed any settling into fine lines so far. The caveat is you get very little for the $, or so many reviewer's say. I don't plan on wearing every day & wanted a quick, portable foundation solution to get me out of the bathroom fast in the AM. Pur Minerals has been my go to for that category for prestige and Palladio, my all-time favorite compact powder (excellent) for 'budget friendly'. Both are too dark now- plus it's fun trying something new when it actually works... so far anyway.

The second is Benefit's lip balm. They are pretty pigmented while extremely soothing. Usually balms and lasting power aren't synonymous. I was surprised at the longevity. Obviously it will wear off like all do depending on habits like licking or biting lips. It's in no way a lip stain. I purchased the single in lolliebalm; a slightly cooler MLBB shade- one which I tend to gravitate to almost always.. HA. I'd say it's on the light to medium mauve-ish spectrum- pigmented enough to light up eyes & complexion. There isn't a selection of shades to speak of, yet it appears there's beautiful warmer shades too. My winter lips are grateful & am really enjoying this lipstick balm. The single is the one I purchased. I can see some of you cringing.. LOL. It's a beautiful color on the lips.

Those are so cute! That is something I would try out.

I like their brow products and It stick.

They’re far from my favorite line but they have some good products.

Nor are they mine. There's a handful of Benefit I own and enjoy. So far I reeeeally 'like' both products I purchased, even though was skeptical when purchasing.

Their hydrating concealer is my favorite. It used to be called Fake up, now is repackaged as Boi-ing hydrating concealer.

Thanks so much for your input. At some point my D/C'ed favorite concealer will be depleted. I bought refills at Beauty.Com before they went out of business, then found a refill on eBay. I'm down to 2 refills and would rather find a good concealer substitute sooner than later. I'll check it out. This is a tough category- I don't know if it's just me, or everyone has the same problem. I don't even have dark under-eye circles or discoloration. Go figure.

ETA: Goofy me..haha. It just dawned on me, I bought some Boi-ing to try - but it's the Brightening, not Hydrating formula. I kind of like it, it's the old Erase Paste, but not as thick and sticky. Maybe it's the Hydrating type I should be testing since I have dry skin.

I hadn't used Benefit in years and just got a couple of sample sized items that really I,pressed me. Their brow product "gimme brow" is the most natural and easy to apply brow product I've ever used and comes in a very perspective light taupe shade for me. Their Gimme lashes is also really great. I'm going to spend a little more time looking at Benefit again. I used to love their bronzer Hoola and only stopped using it because of so many new options on the market...but it is a matte bronzer in a shade that compliments my skin. Good to see come other raves for Benefit.

I used to be a loyal Benefit user and don’t have any complaints about their products. Once I started using IT I seemed to gravitate more to IT. I still love Benefit’s They’re Real mascara, but I also now love IT’s Superhero mascara. Benefit’s lip balm looks fabulous!

I will definitely give their lip balm a try. They look really nice! I do really like their brow products, and use them most often. I usually get my brows waxed at a Benefit Brow Bar, and ended up purchasing the brow product that she used, Gimme Brow-it was perfect for me! Will now have to go and check out the Balms, or maybe will wait for HSN to have them-they will probably have great prices....

I like lipstick balms but I only own Becca's and Stilla. I enjoy wearing lipstick balms as they are a little lighter than a regular lipsticks and you receive the benefits of the balm.

The Brightening concealor is actually nice and has never looked dry on me. Tarte Shape Tape was a whole different story. Although high coverage, Shape Tape was so drying.

Benefit used to make one of my favorite fragrances called Maybe Baby but it was discontinued long ago.

I'm kind of interested in their blushes but the packaging is so clunky.

You're more than welcome! The shade I have is quite pigmented and the softening effects to the lips last for hours. It doesn't fade all funky either.

You might want to try in-store. HSN has all Too Faced on 4 Evil Pays and free ship though. Love this for daytime and has really worked well for keeping flaky lips at bay. I exfoliate with Elf's in clear about once to twice a week as needed.

This winter has been brutal, but my lips aren't really showing it. I also use various oils on my lips at night. I have a travel size of Josie M's Argan Infinity Intensive Creamy Oil, which is great for overnight conditioning- but really, whatever you have on hand should work fine and the balm keeps conditioning with a beautiful veil of color.

Let me know what you think if you try the lip balm! I'm totally impressed with this stuff.
