BROWS...UGHHHH!

Saw a few of Q’s beauty shows. No ones brows are just one color, completely filled in without any skin showing and both looking exactly the same.

The makeup vendors may as well use stencils. The idea is to create a “natural” brow.

Today they were airing an IT cosmetics brow powder with brush and the model was missing part of her eyebrow!! I had never see anything like this. It's almost like she had a bald spot In her eyebrow.

At my age, I would look foolish with the brows they show on the Q. Luckily, my brows are full and dark brown and all I need is a little fill in in one area. Yes, the brows on the Q look so fake.

I am not a fan of those Groucho Marx brows on women. I noticed that some hosts and some models seem to prefer thick painted on brows. They are not for me.

They are too dark, too thick and masculine looking for my taste. I prefer soft and pretty brows that look natural.

One day I got out my elf brow pencil and filled in my brows so there wasn't any skin showing beneath the hairs. IT LOOKED RIDICULOUS! So terribly unnatural...I would never leave the house looking like I did.

Larger question is why do women insist on panting on eyebrows anyway ? Men don't do it. How much money is wasted each year on needless cosmetic purchases when you think about it. Over the course of a lifetime that would be some pretty nice retirement sums to have.

I've used Anastasia Eye Powder Duo for many years. I tried for a long time to find something I like, and I do really like this. It's the most natural of anything I've found. I don't have full eyebrows due to overplucking when I was young--really foolish. I also have a bare spot in one brow because of thyroid problems. That's a common thing that happens. The eye powder I use covers it up and doesn't look unnatural.

Yes, I know about the hair loss thing, unfortunately. Many years ago I went through some kind of weird hair loss thing going on and I not only lost the hair on my head, but one, only one of my brows disappeared. When I went to a doctor about this hair loss I told him that I had had drawn on my brow on one side. He told me I was a very good artist. He said he wouldn't have known had I not told him.

I use "Joan Rivers Beauty Great Hair Day Fill-In Powder" for my brows. It's actually designed for bald spots on the scalp and I know there's one made for the brows, but I've always used the one for the scalp. My brows are dark brown and this matches perfectly and looks very natural.

@Reever, you might as well ask why women (btw, I am one) wear any cosmetics. I thought that everybody knows the answer. If they so choose, it is to make themselves feel more attractive. I bet the practice of such embellishment goes back to our very earliest existence.

It is not uncommon to have very thin spot or gap add gray hair to that and it looks like a bald spot.

My brows are threaded and have brown, black hair . The girl that does them says wants the one or 2 grays tweezed or colored and that's a big No.

She makes my brows look perfect and so rich in color.

That being said in a week they need color to cover the gray and color in your face keeps you looking healthy and youthful.

Some ladies have no brows as they age, with illness or even just light colored hair.. Didn't think any of the ladies looked bad today.

The problem with mine is there are some hairs that stick straight out and are unusually long. I trim those lightly because if I get carried away to get all the ones that stick out, well then my brows look too thin. Just having a hard time taming the wild ones.

I can't tell you how many I've tried. @Texasmouse My brow hairs are individually very thick and coarse. I have Asian in me and their brows are notoriously the kind that stick out really badly. I just have to learn to live with them I guess.

Many Asian women shave or pluck all their brows off because they are that bad...mine are anyway. Then they draw them on or have them tattooed. Tattoo is an ancient thing in Japan and is popular with the eyebrows. @Texasmouse
