I think you are very sweet, but your Nude lip collection does not do anyone a favor. Those bland dull colors are NOT flattering, and make the models look like they have been embalmed. We need a brighter color on our lips to make the face look alive. Especially we seniors.

I am a senior and do not care for bright lip colors esp: red. I look much better in the lighter to nude colors. I have very fair skin.

Let me amend my first statement. I didn't mean bright or red shades, but something with more color than those nudes. We need some color on our lips. And matte lipsticks also do not look flattering on us. I also have fair skin. It takes a bit of searching to get the right shades that fall between pale and too bright. But they are available.

I agree, the host looked sickly in the lippie she was wearing. I think she looks better in her usual, more berry-red color.

I agree. I tried her colors, & sent them back.

Nudes are great, but imo they need to have some color to them. The best nude for me has been MAC's "Brave" satin lipstick. I also use their lip primer as a base.

I'm not really a MAC fan, but these 2 items work well for me. Like most brands, the lipstick is a tiny bit drying (not bad, though), & the primer definitely helps with that. The satin formula is really nice, too.

You can't stop yourself....lol You can have your own personal opinion regarding yourself but no one died and left you boss of all lip colors for anyone else. YOU might need some color on your lips, that doesn't translate into ALL women.

@pegomyheart, I am senior and love bright colors. I look hideous in nude shades. When I saw Doris this morning I couldn't believe how her lips looked. The shade that she was wearing looked like she applied foundation to her lips. Many women do like the nude look but it just doesn't work for me.

I have very fair, what people describe to me as being porcelain skin. No lipsticks looks as well on me as Doris's nude collection. I ordered from QVC and her website. The compliments and questions as to where I bought them keep on coming.

Bright lipsticks look like over-kill on me. They look silly on me at 64 because it doesn't look natural on me. When I use the Nude Collection of lipsticks, they just enhance my complexion and my eyes stand out, not my lipstick.

To each their own, I guess.....

I agree 100%! I am 74 and need Color on my lips. I have medium skin, brown eyes & medium redish brown hair. My lips are also a little smallr now & I have some wrinkles so lipstick can't be too dork or bright. Just as you said. I usually can't get the best medium shades on the Q, but sometimes there is one. The nudes make me look horrible. And some of them are not flattering on anyone, just my opinion.

You're lucky you found lip colors that compliment your complexion. Every time I find "the one", they discontinue it. There's nothing better than applying a lipstick or blush & it instantly brightens your face.

That's like hitting the jackpot, for me, & doesn't happen very often.

I agree with the OP. I am very fair and nude colors look terrible on me. I MUST have color on my lips. I do not like the one-tone-face look. Contrast is a good thing.

They do look...odd. Kinda/sorts ‘white noise’ for your face.

I feel those wearing would look better if they worn just just a hint of blush.

Personally, if I want just an enhancement, I’ll stick to my true-blue

Lip Smackers in Dr. Pepper...just enough blush for a natural look.

I love when Leah wears the bright, candy-red lip color.

Not diggin’ the nude color.

I agree. I have a lot of pigment in my lips and lighter beige tone colors do nothing for me... I use brighter pinks and reds. I use a lip concealor and then apply my lip color to get a true lip color.

Sorry, I've tried nude shades and they either look pasty or like I'm wearing concealer on my lips. It doesn't need to be a super dark or bright color, but some healthy looking color in lipstick is much more flattering and brings life and an uplifted appearance to one's face and overall look.

I have never had any Doll10 nude lip colors that I found attractive, and I’ve tried many. Her colors make me look embalmed, or sickly.

Then I heard that if you look at the inside of your bottom lip, and match that color but just a tiny bit bolder, that color is your individual real nude perfect match. It absolutely worked for me.
