Is there a product to help fill in vertical lines on face?

I'm not sure how to describe what I am meaning and also what I would like to have. But here goes --

I have these vertical lines coming down from either side of my nose kind of curving by the mouth. They are getting deeper and very noticeable. In fact, these are the worst, by far, lines I have.

How do you address this besides getting a medical thing such as Boxtox or filler which I do not want to do?

Is there a product which helps fill in or smooth these lines out a bit? I mean, even temporarily.

I have been using a primer but this does not seem to help. Of course, perhaps I am not using the right one.

Any suggetsions would be appreciated!!

They are called nasolabial folds or lines in the industry. Here is a link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nasolabial_fold

They gradually become deeper as time mrches on. Hope this helps at least identifying them.

@AngelPuppy1- those nose to mouth lines are called the nasal-labial folds. We all get them. Primer really won't do anything for them. Dimitri James came out with a new product a few months back called Skinn Line Lift. The product is fantastic, but the dispenser isn't the greatest. I hope he's working on a replacement. Many of his customers, me included, experienced some issues with the dispenser stopping while there was product left in the can. If you read the reviews on Evine, that's why the average is low. More of them addressed the dispenser rather than how the actual product worked. While the dispenser is something to consider, the review don't give a true representation of results. Personally, I love the product and it's made a difference (improvement) in my nasal-labial folds. You can look the product up on Evine and watch the video.

I also wanted to mention the Skinn Stem Rejen for the lips. This isn't a product that gets applied direct on top of the lips. I goes above the lip to address the verticle lines and is also for the nasal-labial folds. This has been in Dimitri's line a long time and also does a nice job when used consistently.

I use Estée Lauder Avanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex and it has made these lines softer. I also find that these lines have not gotten deeper, which is a plus.

I've never found an over the counter product that works so I get fillers a couple times a year.

I don't know of any over the counter solution except microneedling to help improve the lines by producing collagen.

If you really want to get rid of them for a long time, I just heard of a product called Bellafill that will fill in nasiolabial lines for up to 5 years.

Those nasal labial folds first show up at about 27 or 28, I've noticed. Easiest way to guess whether someone is over 25. Each line starts as more of a shadow, and eventually becomes an etched wrinkle.

They are from gravity and reduced collagen. Your skin deflates as you get older and it sags forward. Your cheek muscle has anchors right by your lip muscle. With less fat and collagen and muscle padding in the area, you eventually get a wrinkle at that anchor point.

Increase the volume in your upper lip and upper cheeks closer to what it was when you were younger, and the lines diminish. Some use fillers to acchieve that. I just use products and massage and occasional cheek exercises.

You can cosmetically, temporarily, get these lines to plump up and out by using a line filling product with lots of hyaluronic acid and optical blurrers in it.

You put it on the lines, on your upper lip, and up on the apples of your cheeks. Skinn's Deep Wrinkle Protocol Line Erasing Serum is the one I use when I know I'm going to be photographed. It works quite well. Has lots hyaluronic filling spheres and polysilicone-11, which blurs and optically reduces the shadow. It's the blue one in the skinny squeeze tube.

Under BOTOX YEP I explained fillers and Botox, in Beauty. I do a combination of Restelyn for under eyes and Restelyn Silk for above lips. Juviderm for parenthisis around nose and mouth, but Restelyn also OK

Check Beauty Thread for big explainations. Had it all done last week, including eleven lines between eyes with Botox. Been doing all this since 2012, started at age 76, am now 81. I say it is my once a year tune up. I do use great creams, Dr. Denese, Perricone and PTR rentnol. I get a lot of compliments on my skin, which everyone says what creams do you use, your skin is beautiful, which has nothing to do with the procedures. I also use IT Bye, Bye undereye.

I have deep lines above lips which botox and filler take care of, but the other lines are not deep.

Also Mally primer is a god sent to make everything look smooth. Yes, i am not growing old gracefully, fighting it all the way. Doing it for me, no one else. It's hard when you get older and don't see the same person on the outside as the inside.

For those that do not want to do it or can't, it ,s OK, but I do. I still work out and do Zuma and weight training and walk, but you can't exercise the face.

I get Restylane for the creases by my mouth. It works well for me but the downside is once you get it you'll want to continue!

That's great that you get results from this! I have too many skin conditions and other medical problems and I don'twant to try any of this type of suff. I don't even really think they'd give it to me any way!

I have heard other women say these lines are a result of smoking cigarettes; I have never smoked and still have them. I hesitate to go the injectable route as I know it is not long lasting and the expense of maintenance is not really in my budget.

Same with me --- never smoked. I guess losing volume, collagen, etc. is pretty natural as we age. Some of us get afflicted with this worse than others. Perhaps there are products out there which help some, but either they would cause my skin to react or they would be out of my price range. I agree about the injectable thing, not something I want to do and too expensive.
