Review of TOO FACED Eyeshadow Palette

Last week I bought the today's special from HSN of the TOO FACED palette, mascara, eyeshadow primer, and lippie. I received them yesterday and used some of the eyeshadow this morning.

It came very nicely packaged. I have tried the mascara before and liked it so won't use it until later. Just bought another eyeshadow primer from Ulta so will wait and try this one out later.

The eyeshadow palette is very pretty and will use most of the colors. Some are too sparkly for me but some are fine and will use. Will definitely use all of the matte colors. I liked that each section of the palette, there are 4, is like its own eyeshadow quad. This morning I went with the more neutral quad. Either they aren't as pigmented as some eyeshadows or my brush just wasn't picking up product but it sure seemed like I had to go back and forth a lot to get color to show up on my eyes. They blended well and once done looked nice. I used a light shade on my lid, light-medium brown on the inner crease, darker brown on the outer, and a touch of gold in the center of lid.

I am having an issue with my left eye watering a bit this morning. I do have allergies so it may just be that but sometimes I react to eyeshadows and can't wear them so will have to see. If that happens, I won't be able to use it.

Re the lippie. When I saw it presented I thought oh there is no way I'd wear that. Well, never say never! I tried it last night and really liked it! Its very pale, pinky shade but perfect for days when you don't really want any color or wearing much makeup but still want your lips to look pretty. Its a nice neutral, pale pink but not screaming pink. Its really pretty and natural looking.

Don't know if its still available or not, but if it is, I think its worth it and am glad I ordered it.

I ordered this set too and I really like so far. I didn't need another eyeshadow palette but I love the Better Than Sex mascara and the eyeshadow primer so the whole set wasn't much more than if I bought those 2 items individually.

So far the shadows seem really creamy (though I haven't tried them all) and of course I love the mascara and primer. I'm on the fence about the lippie...it's such a light shade and I have a lot of purple tone to my lips. Anything that pale washes me out. It's still a beautiful shade though, and feels really good on.

I'm like you, I'm defintely glad I got this set

TF imo not the brand used to be since sold. I have sensitive eyes and have to be very careful about products that I use via shadow mascara liners. So many excellent brands inferior once sold.

TF-No longer cruelty free another reason no purchase.🐰

@sfins I agree with you that the lippie is definitely not for everyone. Was kind of surprised they chose that color for the lippie as it, to me, isn't a universal type of color. Other than that tho, its a good set.
