Face Work Done Question

Maybe someone can answer this for me. It's not meant to be mean in any manner.

I watch some of the older models and their cheeks are smooth but their neck areas are very crinkled / wrinkled...as are around their eyes and they still do look much older in age over all... but with smooth skin areas scattered around their face.

Did they have face lifts or work done ? Or is it the cameras that make them look altered like that ? Why not do everything or put something around the neck areas?

(Youth cannot be mimicked, sadly.)

My guess is they have fillers in the cheek and forehead areas and fillers are not placed in the undereye, lids or neck.

I suspect that you do know the answer.

They probably have had some "work" done & there is no neck lift or hand skin lift.

But, we all do the best that we can to be who we want to be & how we want the world to see us.

It's not about mimicking youth, it's just about being the best you can.

I hope you enjoy being the best person that you can be, too!

@cbrite Injections and fillers are quick and cheap compared to the cost and down-time of face, neck and eye lifts (all of which can be done separately or all at once). The odd thing is, it becomes noticeable after awhile especially as other parts of the body keep ageing naturally. The neck, chest, hands and knees (yes knees) give away your age so if you see a naturally aged (wrinkles, age spots/sun damage, sagging/loose skin, etc) neck and then you see a very tight face (parts of it), it's like a neon sign scream "WORK DONE ON MY FACE! WORK DONE ON MY FACE!"

I know many who do this and in their opinion (and mirror), it's no big deal, they look great, it's not noticeable, etc.

Thanks for your replies.........I'm terrified of needles....so it would not work for me. And at my age I don't want to even go there anymore. @Love my grandkids No not bored at all, just curious and learning, since I have no one else to ask. : )

In the past some have gone on vacation and returned looking very "rested". That does not bother me when they only model clothes and not serums, etc. The newness is noticable especially when they are the same age as others who have had no precedures. I am who I am and that is fine with me. If I modeled for a living I might feel different.

This is exactly what I think...fillers and botox in forehead...cheeks. Some I notice that the lip fillers push up so much that they actually get a horizontal crease just below the nose!

I always wondered if the lights for TV give women wrinkles. I noticed it on actresses but it could be that they wrinkle easy or stayed in the sun too long. The neck is the first to sag. Aging is so much fun; however, you either accept it or go under the knife.

What keeps me from even considering this is IT SHOWS---IT IS APPARENT--- PEOPLE PICK UP ON IT. It somehow to me looks odd or overdone or in some cases grotesque. Sorry but that is how I feel. It looks like someone has filled the face with stuffing.

Lifts, fillers, etc., can be performed on the entire face, partial areas of face, on the neck and hands( yes, these areas can have work done, one vendor on another channel has had fillers one of his hands- even though he says his hand is that plump from his product- I do adore him though.., and a famous vendor who used to be on QVC also got fillers in her hands and proudly spoke about it)

Whether you go the "little work at a time" or full out, who you see on tv may do these things, however, my forehead is good, my cheeks plump and smooth, but above my lips and chin area could use smoothing....people might think why did I just have work on my cheeks and forehead and not other areas, when I had no work at all. Thinking about it, though,...saving my money instead of buying more skincare and machines that really don't do much, and the money I save, if I go the lift, filler route- at least they will do something.

It takes quite a while for swelling to go down and filler to settle in but women still have to go to work so try not to judge new work too harshly. We can each pursue beauty however we want or can afford and it would be great if others give these worked on faces time to heal or just avoid critiqueing other women’s appearance. It hurts people’s feelings to say critical things about their appearance. How sad that hosts avoid these forums because people say critical things about them when they are generally trying their best to look good and do a good job.

Some people have work done and it looks fabulous. So what if people know you had work done if you look amazing? JMO

My only problem with any kind of face work is that it can make people look odd instead of younger. To me, this is hardly an improvement over sagging or wrinkles.

I don't think I would ever get a face lift (elective surgery fears) but I would probably get fillers if I could be sure the results would look natural. Right now, I would not take the risk.

And here's what I have wondered. There are some hosts and some models who have been at QVC for years & years, and there is no disguising the fact that they are getting older by the day, it shows on their faces, their necks, and their hands. Isn't that the way nature works? But that's not what I wonder about. What I do wonder is how can they be showing their age with all the creams, lotions, potions, serums, gidgets & gadgets QVC sells to not only prevent that but to reverse the process? What about all those close up photos they put on screen showing us the improvement in the users? Don't the ageing hosts and models take advantage of all that "stuff" the vendors hawk as the answer to our fine lines & wrinkles and crepey skin and pruney looking necks? Guess not.

I say, if you can afford to do WHATEVER work on your face to make you feel better---than go for it!!! I cannot, but if I could iIwould. But-----I would do my homework first and ask lots of questions and make sure that whoever does the work is the best at it. Have always had puffy under eyes--I would get those removed in a NY minute if I had the $$. Maybe even fillers too; not so much full on surgery--have had many surgeries and not a fan of the healing/down time. I have pretty nice skin with few lines /wrinkles and not much sagginess at 63. I'm sure the HD cameras on TV leave nothing to the imagination either--shows every little thing.

I think all women should do what makes them feel good when it comes to botox and fillers. It's easy to get done and pretty minor. The best move I made was getting filler around my lip line. No one can tell I did it, but me. I am having a blast wearing red lipstick. Those tiny lines surrounding my lips made me sad. Feeling much better about myself now.

Once a woman has deep lines and crevices in her neck, all the surgery in the world won't hide her age. Kathie Lee Gifford is a good example. Smooth face but a lot of wrinkling in her neck.
