Help for flat hair

Need a product for my flat hair. My hair has thin out and on the top is just flat. Any advice on a product to lift the roots.

I use Toppik to blend in my roots. It also adds a LOT of body.

@Fionna I don't use product, instead I use rollers in my hair before taking a shower.. After showering, I hit my hair with a hairdryer and leave the rollers in while dressing and getting ready for the day. When ready, I take them out and use a large cylinder brush with the hair dryer to smooth and lift. I use a tiny amount of styling cream in my hair for shine. None of this takes very much time and I have found it to be more effective than any product for creating more body in my hair. It is a great way for dealing with thin flat hair.

Do you wear your hair long? Get a good haircut! There's nothing like a fresh cut to make your hair bounce! I have the thinnest, finest, flattest no-nothing hair and I get regular pixie haircuts. No flat hair for me! Remember, a good cut is the basis for attractive hair!

After I wash and blow dry my hair, I use velcro rollers for a few hours. The next morning I use a flat iron, lifting my hair from the roots with a sort of twist of the flat iron. I also use Aveda Volumizing Tonic on my roots before I blow dry it.

I have very long hair. I do the upside down hair cut where you put your hait in a pony tail on your forehead and make a streight cut giving long layers. Many instructions on youtube. It adds life to long hair without a drastic cut.

Spraying a light brushable hair sparay threwout adds volume or use mousse but just a little bit.

Flat hair is different kind of hair, the kind that never wants to do anything buy cling to your head. I call it helmet head. I've used, I believe, everything I've ever seen to get my hair to lift off my head. The latest tool being the hair cruncher at the roots.

Most all products and tools I have tried do something to help out. I can even get it looking thick, bouncy and healthy. This is good and it looks good.

Unfortunately, no matter what I do with it, it never holds and will be flat in an hour or two.

PS - a big roller perm will solve the problem at the root; however, roots grow out in a couple of weeks and that is a loss and damage.
