Hi Ladies,

Everytime I go to the hairdressers I ask for long layers so I can curl it as it is so straight. So I get the layers put in and when I go and curl it it does nothing no curls at all. What exactly do I need to ask for. This has happened several times and I have gone to 2 different hairdressers and they are popular hair places in my area and not cheap. any recommendations would be appreciated. TIA

sounds as though your hair is too straight to take a curl

My hair is so fine and straight you can't curl it or put it up for any amount of money. It might stay 15 minutes, then it simply slithers back to what it wants to be.

I have a not very long layered cut that I can fluff up and it has some lift but curl? No way! It is thick and can easily be fluffed up, but not curled.
