Josie Maran Whipped Body Butter vs Philosophy Lemon Custard Souffle Comparison!

I love Philosophy Lemon Custard Body Souffle. I use almost every day and love everything about this product but lately I found my skin wasnt looking good. My skin looked dried out and just blah.

I started using Josie Maran whipped body butter and found my legs, feet and arms looked so moisturized. I mean it was an amazing difference. My skin actually glowed..I didnt look like a "light bulb was shining on my body" f but there was a very nice richness to my tanned skin.

I dont know if I can give up the Philosophy lemon custard but I may purchase the unscented Body Butter from Josie.for now...

I'm glad you like the Josie body butter - I love it. I've been using it for years - I buy it by the tub in unscented and also when available in vanilla bean. I stopped using Philosophy shortly after I learned it was bought out by Coty.

I love the JM body butters. I generally buy the unscented or the plain vanilla as it has a very light scent.

I use it on my back and from the waist down since those areas are the most dry on my body. Then I use my scented body lotion on my arms only. That way I'm not wasting my more expensive scented lotions on legs plus I'm getting the moisture I need.

I used Philosophy for years but noticed that the formulas changed and my skin wasn't looking the same. I switched to JM body butter and love it! What a difference. I love the unscented because I have allergies and am super sensitive to scent. Josie does make some scents and I believe their is a lemon combo. Now, it may be only twice a year or in the combo selection. If you like lemon you might like the Divine Honey Butter. It's even richer than the body butter and wonderful.

I have both these brands and Lemon Custard is my favorite Philosophy scent. I love it! I also love my JM body butter and my current tub is Warm Toasted Sugar which I love!

Imho, JM's body butter is a far superior product to anything Philosophy has out (for moisturizers). Philosophy's moisturizers seem to disappear instantly after putting them on and I constantly had to reapply. JM's are good for the whole day. Again, just my experience. Scent-wise though, Philosophy has some good ones, just fade too quick, so not worth my $.

I used Philosophy's body butters for a few years, but since switching to Josie's, I no longer use anything but a couple of fragrances & some of the shower gels from Philosophy. I found the shea butter or whatever in the Philosophy BBs just sat on my skin & wouldn't absorb in, no matter how much I tried to rub it! Much prefer the consistancy of Josie's body butters.

Use Josie Maran's products ..every product.. and found hers to be across the board. The 'milk' is my least FAV.

I did use Philosophy's [FORMER] butters, but discontinued about five years ago.

Butters: Josie Maran> I prefer the unscented as my #1.

Philosophy Butters: *discontinued when the product appeared not to be the same / quality / concentrated / (?) new ownership..I believe, YES, for sure.

I definitely came down from 5 stars to 1, if that.

I use both lines. As far as scent goes I would give kudos to Philosophy. When it comes to actual moisturizing hands down for me would be JM BB's.
