Third month growing out pixie. Found several videos on YouTube helpful great tips! Hair pins are wonderful twisting the hair into beautiful fun styles. If you have any suggestions feel free to share.

YouTube has great ideas for hair. I'm going longer - mine is now past my shoulders and I'm going to keep it going so I can braid it or wear it in a ponytail most days When it was just past chin length, I clipped it back anyway. Might as well keep it longer. I rarely wear my hair down.

Best tip for growing out hair: go to the Hair Salon every six weeks (and let them know you are growing it out).

HI I found one of the best hairstyle sites a few months ago when I decided to get a pixie cut . It is called All Things Hair . It is great as far as styles , intstructions and products to use for both men and women and all hair types . I just searched the site using Growing out in the search box and there are several articles with tips and instructions on growiing out pixies and short cuts

Pleased with the growing out process. Plan trimming little off the bottom back. Take Biotin and Flax seed oil. Few more months should be closer to the length desired.

Heck no. It's going to take 5x as long to grow it out if you get it trimmed every 6 weeks. I've grown my hair out from literally shaved.

I go from super short to long often. When am growing out from short, I just cut my hair in the back even with my neck hair line every month or two. This grows the layers out to all one length.

i just take a small snip off of the front and sides at the bottom too. I can grow out the layers in no time at all this way.

I grew out my very short pixie hair style, several years ago, to a longer, but still short, inverted bob. I loved my grow out period! Every time I got a regular haircut (ever 5-6 weeks) I walked out with a new hairdo! I LOVED that. I'm always trying to mix up my look. I lived with my cute inverted bob for a short while and longed for my pixie, so I've got it back again.

Absolutely not! I grew out my pixie, several years ago, and during the growing out process I had it trimmed every 5-6 weeks. My grow out time was FAST! I had my new longer hairdo in no time! I can't imagine walking around with my hair not being neat and trimmed. But thats just me.

I would say that depends on how fast your hair grows and your hairdresser. Some hairdressers give you your money's worth and can cut too much off.

The few times I've grown out my short layers were painful. I get it. My stylist just kept cutting the neckline straight across allowing the layers to grow into a short bob. From there, the rest is a piece of cake. Just grow it out to the length you want.
