Adele's Makeup Artist's Tip For Concealer

His name is Michael Ashton. I think her makeup always looks great.

I had never read or thought of this, but he uses eyelid primer under the eyes before concealer. He says it prevents creasing. His favorite, the one he uses on Adele, is Marc Jacobs Perfecting Coconut Eye Primer. $26 at Sephora. Or you could try ELF Hydrating Under Eye Primer, $3. I'm going to try it with my cheapie eyelid primer tomorrow. Article didn't say if you're supposed to layer it over eye cream.

Next new product fad will be concealer primer.

I do this all the time. I use By Terry Hyaluronic Eye Primer under my eye before concealer. Looks really nice.

Adele always looks flawless! Her skin looks perfect to me. I think she must have really good skin under her makeup...it's beautiful whatever it is.

It sounds as if the eyelid primer he uses might be hydrating. The problem with many others is that are purposely not moisturizing so that the shadow will adhere and stay. Those might not be a good idea under the eye before you add concealer.

Who doesn't have beautiful skin when they are 29 and barely needed any concealor. Make up was so easy then and even up til 40's.

Adele's makeup is so 60's and it looks great but makes her look older than she is.

My daughter recently mentioned that she and Adele are the same age. Surprising...my daughter is a grad student but always gets mistaken for an undergrad

She needs "no" concealor. How I miss those days!

@Janey2 She has some beautiful products, very expensive, but they work. I used a few of her products....I remember when they sold a few of her products hers on QVC, I believe the lady was from Space NK....

I've done that before and it looked very bad (dry and accentuated fine lines). I suspect it depends on what primer you're using. So I wouldn't rule it out, but it didn't work with the primer I used.

I never had my concealer crease. When I use it, I pat a little on and tap, tap, tap and sometimes have to spread out at the end. I don't have lines under my eyes is probably why but I use Secret Concealer by Laura Mercier (love it) and won't change unless the price gets out of hand.

The skin under our eyes gets thinner and more dry as we age. Adele is 29. What works for her won't work for many of us. Not to say it's not worth a shot but keepin it real.

@CANDLEQUEEN, her loose powder is probably the best that I have ever used and that includes Laura Mercier whom everyone thinks is the cat's meow. Lol! It is so finely milled and very little is needed to set my foundation.

I use Bye Bye Undereye and never had a problem with creasing. I just gently tap it on where needed. I love the product because it is buildable.

@CANDLEQUEEN, I am also a medium skin toned and it really blends beautifully into my skin. I am also almost 68 and doesn't accentuate any fine lines. Of course I don't have any. Hahaha!
