Hi, everyone. Yesterday, I looked at the presentation on the Madison Reed Haircolor on Beauty IQ and was quite interested.

I went to their website and noted that there is quite a range of hair colors, but, QVC only carries a few. I am interested in the dark brown tones. I currently color my hair with a Garnier Olia dark brown color. It is a fairly gentle product and not inky dark.

I was curious as to whether anyone tried Madison Reed? And, if so, can you please provide your opinion as to whether it is truly dimensionsal, long lasting, and provides enough product to cover long hair?

Thanks in advance.

I really liked it, but it became too expensive for me, as I need to color my roots every 5 weeks......They have a lot of beautiful colors, that do last and are gorgeous, I used a medium golden brown....It was just expensive, and I now use a hair color from Walgreens, and they usually have it 2 for 6.00. I read about it on this forum, and it is wonderful-works great, and is quick and easy and doesn't leave my hair feeling like straw.....I am trying to remember the brand-hang on!

I would never pay that much for a home hair color kit. The drugstore brands work just fine for me, and there's a better selection of colors. JMHO.

I had never heard of this brand before. I just check Amazon to price compare and it is $50 plus shipping for a kit. I use L'Oréal and try to buy it with coupons that come in the junk mail papers to save a buck or two. This past weekend i was at a restaurant with my husband and I saw an older woman with the prettiest silver gray hair in the booth next to ours. The waiter knew her and was commenting how pretty her hair was. She said that she finally gave up on coloring and just let the gray come in. Lucky lady...mine would never look like that. Onward and upward with fighting my gray hair!

Thank you, ladies, for your comments. I have tried Colorsilk and it is a good product. Very believable results.

But, what is attractive about Madison Reed is it claims highlights and lowlights. I suppose that I will go to their website and read the reviews.

I would love to be able to color my hair at home but I tried a few drugstore ones....I think the one mentioned in eariler post and the smell/fragrance was so strong and my scalp couldn't handle that...I have super sensitive scalp. This one looks nice I saw it last night too but not sure and it is alot more expensive.

I looked there because I was really interested. Red hair must really be out. Try to find red hair color there, bright , vivid red...not mahogany or copper. Same with hair pieces. Even qvc doesnt have one hair clip in or even a wig in red. They might offer a strawberry, or light auburn, but thats it!!🤔😾😖😡

It's a shame the color selection on QVC is so limited, and worse, that they didn't use the Madison Reed naming protocol. They could at least have listed the MR names in the details.
