MASCARA NIGHTMARE

I have always purchased Clinique Glossy mascara (no frills) and it gives great length without clumping. I decided to try a new one with Clinique called High Impact. It was extremely wet out of the tube and when it dried later that day it was flaking. It was returned immediately. Anyone else have problems with any mascaras?

I've been trying the Clinique mascaras and am so relieved to finally have found a mascara that doesn't cause a bad reaction. The high impact one I liked, but the curling mascara flaked and clumped pretty badly. I returned it.

@Katcat1, I want to try the glossy one that you like. I'm just so glad that Clinique is one brand that my eyes can tolerate.

I really like Clinique Naturally Glossy, always have, as I prefer a natural look. I just bought some Estee Lauder mascara like my mom used to use, it has been around for a long time, it's called More Than Mascara. I haven't used it yet.

Edited to add:

I just looked on the Estee Lauder website and I don't see it on there anymore. Sigh, I guess it has been discontinued so if I like this tube, I'm probably out of luck from now on.

@YellowLabMom, More Than Mascara was on Estee Lauder website over a week ago. That mascara is awesome. Never clumps, gives great length.

If it's lashes, I'm totally a lost cause.

My DIL was over here a few weeks ago and I looked at her and said "What on earth have you done? "Our lashes are alike and yours are absolutely out of the box!!!!". She said that's the mascara from "Younique". My supply was "I'll definately get a barrel of it!!!!!".

(I might mention that our son has triple thick lashes that curl up on his cheek when he looks down!). I don't have a clue where they come from!

@Katcat1 I never had any problems wearing mascara. I liked Lancome Immencils, and Mally. I tried iT tightline, and what a disaster, my eyes started watering and my eyelids swelled and cracked at the outer edges. Now I cannot use iT products anywhere near my eyes. I gave my daughter a tube because I bought three, and she had a reaction to the iT tightline too, and nothing ever causes her irritation.

@CatLoverDogsToo, That is awful. When I was about 19 I became allergic to a mascara (all red under the eyes) and I could not wear any eye makeup for one month. I had to work and looked like plain Jane. lol Glad you and your daughter are okay. That is scary when it is so close to your eyes.

Hi @Katcat1. I really don't love the ones w/ tubes. Just seems weird to me and the ones I've tried make my lids feel heavy.

My daughter developed "dry eyes" and besides artificial tears (medicated drops), doc said no mascara because of products & rubbing required to move it. Being a real "girly girl"...no mascara was out of the question. She had eyelash extensions put on...last about 3-4 months & expensive. As a dental hygienist who wears a mask all day, her eyes are only feature on face that shows.

Asked her tax accountant Daddy if because necessary for work, they're deductible. Lol 😂

I just tried Younique & like it, except I don't use the fiber tube. I found that made loose flakes. The lady I purchased from was deleting her stock, so it could have been old.
