TGIF Beauties! What Did You Use Up This Week 6/2?

I did not use up anything this week. What did you use up? Hope you all have a safe and happy weekend.

Happy Friday beauties!

This week I used up:

SKINN Collagenesis SPF 30 1.7oz- this was actually a very nice SPF for layering over a serum in the morning, nice dry down and not sticky. I haven't repurchased because I don't want to have to layer, especially in the summer when it's hot, and it's not moisturizing enough on it's own. I would maybe repurchase in the future. I have an Andalou Naturals SPF 18 to use under makeup and 2 Alba SPF's to use on non makeup days, 30 and 45.

Philosophy Cinnamon Buns 3-in-1 16oz- I found this at a garage sale, sealed and brand new for $1 so I grabbed it. It was nice, but I certainly don't see what all the hype was about and certainly wouldn't pay full price for it. I replaced it with a Suave Almond scent.

TGIF!

This week I used up Dove Pampering Peony and Cream Body Wash, nice scent but not as moisturizing as Wintercare. Replaced with a Caress body wash from stash.

Finished up a jar of IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores. Since I have the pressed version as well, I replaced this with Laura Mercier Translucent.

Tossed a Jordana mascara that did nothing but smear and smudge. Messy stuff, and a waste of money. Replaced with L'Oreal Lash Paradise (waterproof) the new pink tube one.

Beekman grapefruit bar soap - I do like these soaps. I love how they don't get gunky. I have two more. Not sure if I will repurchase. I want to be able to buy things locally when I run out.

Belif moisturizing cream - nice cream but not a repurchase. I have tried the gel version and the cream version. Cream version is much better but not sure it is worth the 38 dollar price tag. If I find I miss it, I would reconsider. Reviews are great on this one so it may just be me.

Shea yucca and plaintain strengthening shampoo - -gave away- was fine the first day but then left my hair greasy. I have the styling milk and mask and haven't tried those yet.

This is probably laughable to some -- I used up my usual Neutrogena Deep Clean Cream Cleanser and replaced with a jar of Noxema. I haven't used Noxema in at least 10 years and, ya know what?, I like it so far. It's nice for a change and totally removes all my makeup.

a box of Loreal Excellence Cream Hair Dye-- did not perform as well as my usual Nice N Easy. I'll go back to Nice N Easy next time

Loreal Sulfate Free Ever Pure Shampoo-- will not repurchase. Going back to my usual Suave

This week I finally used up Josie's Lip and Cheeck Creamy Oil Everlasting Honey, while I really like the end result it is to messy to apply. I have another one to use up.

Happy Friday ladies! Mine is a 2 week total:

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Concentrate - This was a smaller size that was included in one of the Shawn's Favorites beauty kits that I bought. I don't think it agreed much with my skin and it's not an item I would purchase. I'm not really sure how this was to be used but I used it as a nightly moisturizer. I replaced it with a Clinique moisturizer.

Purity Made Simple - This was the smaller 2 oz size that was included in Sandra's Favorites beauty kit. This cleanser definitely isn't a favorite of mine but I used it in the mornings when I had no make-up on since it doesn't do a good job removing make-up. I went back to using Cetaphil in the morning.

Big Sexy Hair root Volumizer - full size. This was just okay. I've had this for quite awhile and would use it, move on and pull this back out. It's finally gone. I don't like this nearly as much as I like TIGI Queen for a Day. But in the interest of saving money, I tried Beyond the Zone root volumizer sold at Sally Beauty Supply so that is what I'm using now and not liking. LOL

Almay Intense I-Color eyeliner in Raisin Quartz - full size. This was just an okay pencil. I liked the color but it didn't last all day and probably isn't something I'd buy again. I'm trying to use up the loads of eyeliners in my make-up bag although I don't have any in this color which works best on my green eyes.

Forgot something. LOL

Stella McCartney Stella EDP - 3.4oz size. Love this fragrance. It is a definite favorite for me. I still have some lotion left to use up but this will be a repurchase for me.

@rnmom, I feel the same way about Cinnamon Buns. I bought it years ago because of all the hype and I was so disappointed in it. I think it smells very fake and chemicaly. Some mornings I found it downright sickening to use.

Hello To All of The Beauties This Friday~~

I used up this week:

1.Lancome Bi-Facil eye makeup remover. 4.2oz size. I really like this remover, but is a bit pricey. I replaced with Clinique Take The Day Off. This is a good one too. I got the Lancome one in a beauty kit that my daughter purchased for me at Christmas time. I had the Clinique one from a kit that was included with a gwp.

2.Yves Rocher Muguet en Fleurs ( Lily of the Valley) Shower gel. 6.7oz I really like his shower gels, but I wish they came in larger sizes. I will replace with another Yves Rocher shower gel in a different fragrance after I use up my Vince Camuto Femme shower gel.

Kenra 25 hairspray. I really didn't like this but I used it up because it was pricey. I am glad to be back to my Ellnet hairspray.

Tossed: A Clinique lipstick that I got as a GWP a long time ago. A sample size Pixi eyeshadow duo that was very peachy and didn't work for me.

Dermalogica ultra calming cleanser - I like this and have another in my stash. Will keep buying.

Peter Thomas Roth clarifying shampoo - worked fine but no need to pay for this when a drugstore brand will do fine.

I have the Almay Intensicolor eyeliner in Raisin Quartz. It's okay but you need to press it hard to make a decent line. If it was creamier like UD pencils it would be better. I may have to bring it to Ulta or Sephora and see if I can find a dupe.

I used up the Neutrogena SPF 55 suntan lotion. Replaced with Banana Boat Sport SPF 30 suntan lotion.

Finished Garnier SkinActive Clearly Brighter Sunscreen & Daily Moisturizer SPF 15 -- I use on my face & replaced with same.

Used up L'Oreal Brow Stylist Definer Pencil in Brunette shade. Replaced with same.

Used up:

UD Sheer Revolution Lipstick in Sheer Beso - WOOHOO, a full lipstick finished! I really love this formula, which has already been discontinued. I have several more in different shades. I would repurchase it if I ever run out of lipstick. I don't understand why they revamped this. The packaging is so pretty, the formula is excellent. Why do the favorites always go away?

I used up a tube of Badger lip balm, Tangerine Breeze. Their lip balms don't seem to have a lot of flavor to them, but they moisturize pretty well. I have other lip balms open right now, so I don't need to pull out a new one yet.

I threw away 3 Avon Glimmersticks eyeliners. The packaging was old and they were dry, so I knew I shouldn't even bother trying to put them around my eyes. I still have several others to go through, so I'm not replacing them at this time.

Dr. Denese 100 count firming facial pads. I can't say they have done much for my skin. I have one more small jar in my stash and then will probably not re-purchase.

I also gifted 4 Perlier lavendar items from my stash for my Mother's birthday.

I tossed out some baby wipes that I use on my face as I was in Las Vegas and didn't have room to bring them back in my carry on as they count as a liquid that goes in the clear quart bag through security at the airport.

A travel size hair serum spray. I emptied a purse breath spray container, washed it out and put hair serum smoothing oil in the container. No room to bring it back though for same reason as above.

I also tossed out 2 L'Oreal True Match concealer crayons while in Las Vegas. One had gone rancid and the other was dried out so the crayon fell out of the twist up pencil.
