Metal File for Feet (better than the roller files)

I purchased mine at Sally Beauty. It was $6 and change. It's a metal file surounded by a colored plastic and has a longer handle. I took mine to the salon so they could use it on me. At home you soak your feet and dry off and then use the file. It gets much more skin off then all these fancy gadgets out here. Check it out. It's located in the nail product area.

@Kachina624, It looks more like a kitchen grater but a flat one. I would not look in the tool box. lol

@GSPgirl, It depends on where you go. The one nail salon I use to go to had a bad location and eventually closed but they used the metal file (that's how I found out about it).

My beauty shop uses these coarse nail files for feet. I use them at home now. You can wash these.

Sorry, but I will never stop using my little Emjoi roller thing that pulverizes my calluses and soft corns to smithereens! My feet are soft as all get out now and always sandal ready! My soft corns are gone.

For me it was a miracle!

too much work to use any file on those hard callouses--I have the machine that grinds off the dead skin and it works amazingly. Had a puny one from Evine that bit the dust so got my new one on AMZ. I use it every 2 weeks and my feet look great between pedis.

My podiatrist said all these gadgets have caused the removal of too much skin. The more layers you remove the more susceptible you are to cuts and abrasion. It's only been the last 10 years or so that everyone has been filing, grating, pulverizing their foot skin. Before that a little lotion or cream and Mother Nature took care of feet for summer sandal wear.

Be careful and do not get carried away.

Thanks for reco. Kat! I need some new sheets & kit. place mats at BB&Beyond & Sally's is few stores away. I will pop in to look at it. @Katcat1 I do have something similar but not with a handle.

@Kabella, It reminds me of the kitchen grater we use for carrots, etc. Have a great weekend. It is now in the high 80's here but not humid so it's not bad.

About 11 or so years ago, I bought a Diamoncel #11 Foot Buffer based on recommendations from the ladies on this board. It was spendy, but did a good job & I still have it, but mostly I use the Emjoi these days. I tried one of those grater type things & grated the heck out of my heel, so I decided that was not a good option for me.
