I really like Paula's Choice Resist 1% retinol. It's not too expensive and I believe it works well.

I've gone back and forth on this one. I've had very good results with prescription Retin-A, never felt Retinol was worth it because it's so much weaker than Retin-A. I ended up quitting Retin-A, dabbled with getting back on it, and ultimately gave it up again. I'm currently using Isomers Copper P Serum in my routine and recall Manuela citing a study that found her Copper P Serum to have better results than Retin-A, so that might be an option for you to consider too.

I am using Isomers Retiniacin. So far, this has been my favorite retinol product. Prescription Retinol was too strong for my skin.

After using Alpha Hydrox ResQ and then ROC (which was recommended by my derm) for years, I switched to Amara Organics 2.5% retinol last fall. It makes my complexion happy. It's creamy, doesn't irritate, and I don't need a moisturizer over it. It contains hyaluronic acid and Vit E.

I started using Paula's 1% with the intention to move on to Retin-A. Although the 1% retinol worked really well for the year that I used it, I found that my skin seemed to plateau over time so I went to using .05% Retin-A.

do you use anything else from this line? Is it on line only or is there stores that carry it?

I've been looking for a more natural line and Suzanne Somers is just to expensive, these products looks a little more affordable when I googled Amara Organics

Thanks for the heads up. A very popular product on Amazon with great reviews and price.

Paula's Choice Retinol -- wrinkle serum and 1% Retinol. I've tried Retin-A and my skin gets so red and flaky. Check out Beautypedia.com for recommendations of retinol.

Fourth vote for the Paula's Choice Resist 1%. It works.

I'm also using Dr. Denese's Hydroshield Serum, which I believes contains retinol, and like it very much. The PC product is less expensive outside of a TSV or special purchase, though.

B/c I'm on the Denese regimen now, I only add in the Paula's Choice BHA solution every other night, and haven't been using the Resist retinol, and my good results have held.

Green Cream - just go slow and start at the low strength unless using retinols/retiniacin already.

I really like Consult Beaute Regenerol. They have some smaller kits if you want to try. They're on another shopping channel. Supposedly the Regenol serum is 3%. I use it, and I don't get any dry flakes, or redness, and I'm very fair, with sensitive skin. I also use the regenerol pads, and cream...only use this at night. My skin is looking luminous. I'll add....I have never used a retinol that decreased lines, or pores, or lighten any pigmented spots. Doesn't help with clearing pores, or occasional break outs. Matter of fact....i have a thread on finding a good cleanser/system for those issues. Haven't found anything yet. I just find it keeps my skin looking bright, and more luminous. Supposedly prevents further damage...so I use a retinol. Of the many I've tried...the only other one I would use, is SkinMedica. I like the 1%, definitely works, but makes me peel a bit. I just use an exfoiliant in morning, and skin is renewed. That comes in lower strengths, if your just starting out.

OH MY GOODNESS, I LOVE Peter Thomas Roth's Retinol Fusion. Highly highly recommend it! It's a serum with a silky texture that absorbs quickly and leaves my skin super soft. His products in general are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

Ok I use first Peter Thomas Roth retinol pm and then put Paula's Choice 1% over it then moisturizer (Resist) or Arian milk and oil. My skin is amazing because of this! Over time you will have the best skin of your life.

@SandGirland @sissyrose - I use the retinol cream. I also use their Vit C serum and "mud pack." I order directly from Amara's website, never Amazon.
